Story
TRINA
BREED: Chihuahua cross
AGE: 5 years old
WEIGHT: 7 pounds
Trina is a sweet, dark eyed, beauty who loves nothing better than attention and love from her person and being close to them. She warmed up slowly in her foster home and was skittish for the first couple of weeks. She’s a bit of a Velcro dog once comfortable, and is happy to be carried around in a padded pouch.
She can be quite vocal when she’s insecure or wants attention, and is not a good candidate for apartment living.
In her foster home, she’s reluctant to go outdoors unaccompanied, but is very good about using potty pads.
Trina gets along with the dogs in her foster home and is reported to be cat friendly. She isn’t an active dog and hasn’t been leash trained. She is happiest sleeping while snuggled in a small ball next to her person.
Trina will make a great companion for someone who’s home most of the time.

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with information about the next steps and setting up a Meet and Greet. Our process is not a “first come, first served” process. Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants to find the best fit for each adoptable dog and potential family. Filling out an application in no way guarantees you a dog or a response email as we get hundreds of applications and choose the best home for the dog.
Distemper/Parvo boosters, and rabies shot, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery are included with the adoption fee. You will also receive a PetSmart puppy packet with hundreds of dollars of savings, a FREE bag of food, 30 minute private training session with a certified dog trainer, and a free checkup at Banfield.
Potential adopters must live within 30 miles of Eugene, Oregon. If you live outside the 30 mile radius, still send us an email, as we will can make exceptions if the circumstances are optimal for the dog or puppy.
