Story
Meet, Bella!  This sweet girl is a special girl who needs someone patient and who can help her gain confidence in the world around her. Someone that will allow her to adjust at her own pace and not push her .  She has been around other dogs and cats in her foster home. She would greatly benefit from a well balanced, calm sibling that can help her feel more secure in her new home.  Bella is almost potty trained and will need a regular schedule to keep her on track. She gets anxious when her people are not with her, and she will sing the song of her people quite loudly, so no attached style living for this girl. She would prefer a home where her person/people are home more often than not. Since she can be unsure, she is not a candidate for a home with children under the age of 12.   She loves to go for car rides and doesn’t want to be left out, but she is wary of strangers - we are too!  We know the perfect home is out there for this girl! Please do not submit an app or inquiry before reading this bio in its entirety. We reply to ALL emails within 72 hours. If you have not received a response, please check you spam/junk folder. THIS LISTING IS FOR A BONDED PAIR. WE WILL NOT SEPARATE. Josh the chihuahua is estimated to be between 2-3 years old and weighs 3.5lbs, taking the record for the smallest adult dog we’ve ever had come thru the rescue. He’s fragile and he knows it so he is hyper vigilant when it comes to making sure he doesn’t get sat on or stepped on. His tiny apple head is always on a swivel but once he snuggles into a blanket on the couch, and he knows he’s safe, he will relax and nap for hours. He absolutely loves to cuddle. He has very short spurts of playfulness but mostly he is a quiet observer. Josh needs his new forever home to be a very safe space, which unfortunately means no small children, dogs who rough house or humans who have no spacial awareness. Jude the Pekingese is estimated to be between 1-2 years old and about 14lbs. He’s truly just the sweetest, dopiest guy you’ll ever meet. He loves life, as evident during his brief but hysterical zoomy fits, and he simply adores people. It should be noted that Jude is not graceful, he’s not athletic and has zero coordination skills. He’s very likely to bump face first into wall or bounce awkwardly off the couch while trying to chase a ball, but he never lets it get him down. Bless his goofy lil heart. Jude is just precious but he is a brick. He does also have a naughty habit of playfully chasing kitties. He’s not too relentless about it but probably best if he doesn’t go to a home with a sensitive cat. Both boys have a low tolerance for being too hot but Jude specifically cannot tolerate the heat. He’s not your guy if you’re looking for a beach buddy. Symbiotic Inc has a required minimum $360 adoption donation PER DOG upon the completion of the adoption (it is tax deductible!) All dog adoptions include a required one hour virtual session with our partners at Lucky Dogs. This session is at no additional charge www.LuckyDogstraining.net If you think this dog may be a good fit for your family, please visit our website and find out more about our application process. https://symbioticinc.org/adoption-application

Story
Jet was 4 1/2 when I brought him home the day before Thanksgiving ‘19. For the first 6 months he was a submissive pee-er every time I came home and he would not play or share lap with his older brother. He learned to trust and gradually allowed me to dress him and trim his nails. Best of all he would allow me to nuzzle him. We eventually added a little dog brother and sister kitten to the fam. If a sibling brushes against him during a nap, he will grumble. We don’t do walks or dog parks which he is absolutely fine with. The stimulation is too much for him. He gets bent when a stranger is in the distance but if they venture closer he becomes a tail-wagging, pet-begging fool. If you have a small ball then you’ve won his total devotion. He’ll tolerate others but would live his best life as an only child. His ASPCA pet insurance policy is paid till mid Apr’25 and can be transferred to his new parent(s). Please be patient with Jet. All he wants is to love and be loved.

Story
Tuck is nearly 5lbs of laughs but he’ll tell you that he’s 50lbs sass. He joined the family when he was 7months old. He has two older brothers. He makes the senior bro act like a puppy again and the middle bro act like a grouchy old man. When a kitten joined the family I was most concerned how Tuck would react ‘cause he can be a real goofball and forget boundaries but they ended up being pals. Perhaps it’s his youth or family dynamic but he’s a very reactive boy and it takes him quite awhile to come around. It took 2 months before he’d approach the dog-sitter. Once he recognizes you as his person he will be totally loyal. He’s the only one that can go off leash (in a controlled environment) and respond to recall. He’s an intuitive pup but also has some anxiety. Mostly around food. He completely submits and lets his brothers eat his portion if I don’t keep an eye open. And he’s so small. He needs those calories for his crazy fast zoomies. Please give him time. His love is amazing!!
