Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Meet Baron, a majestic Husky/Malamute mix with a noble spirit. At 2.5 years old and neutered, Baron is ready to start a new chapter with a family that understands his breed. Baron is very social with other dogs and loves belly rubs. He walks well on a leash and is non-leash reactive, making him great for outings. He crates well at night, is potty trained, and knows commands like sit, shake, high five, and touch. He's eager to learn more tricks! Baron's wooly coat requires regular brushing and professional grooming to keep him comfortable and healthy. Prospective adopters need to understand the grooming commitment and the unique needs of his breed. Baron's new home should not have children under 15, cats, or small dogs. Requirements for Baron's new family: - Experience with Husky/Malamute breeds - Commitment to regular grooming - Understanding of breed-specific behaviors and needs - No children under 15, cats, or small dogs If you meet these requirements, Baron could be the perfect addition to your home. Important Note: Baron had entropion surgery to correct his eyelids. His new family should monitor his eye health as part of his ongoing care. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. August 18, 2024, 3:27 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Diego, our very handsome Lab/Chow/Akita mix and one of our happiest and most friendly dogs at the Mikey & Me Kennels in Chelsea. Diego is ~2 years old, he weighs ~60 pounds and he has a beautiful, golden coat and fluffy tail. He has a very nice temperament, walks well on leash, and he enjoys meeting and interacting with new people. Diego practically “melts” when he gets belly rubs and he’s a very loving dog. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Diego has been neutered, he’s up to date on his vaccinations, he tested negative for heart worm disease and he’s on monthly prevention for HW and fleas and ticks. Diego will need a 6 foot high fenced in yard or he would do well in a country setting with room to run.   Diego will do best as an only dog because he likes being the center of attention. He can sometimes be possessive of a new toy or a high-value treat so having some knowledge in this area would be helpful. If you think Diego would be a good fit for your family fill out an application at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org Please consider sharing Diego’s post with your friends and family to help us get him into a permanent home. This dog is a good find, and he’s going to make a family very happy .   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.                      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 9:14 am
