Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sissy is a sweet, gentle, playful little girl.  She enjoys being outside in the yard exploring and observing everything going on around her and laying in the sun.  She loves to play with the other small dogs in her foster home.  A fenced in yard would be best for Sissy allowing her to go in/out independently to do her business.  She enjoys going on walks, she is potty trained, and loves playing and chewing on toys.  It will be important to have another small dog in Sissy’s forever home so she continues to learn to trust people and build her confidence.  Sissy is not aggressive; she is just cautious when meeting new people and it is important to let her settle in on her timeline.  Once she trusts you, Sissy does enjoy a good rub and likes to join you on the couch.  Now that she trusts us, one of her favorite times of day is when she is allowed up on our bed in the morning with our dogs where she gets lots of love and rubs!  She will lay on top of you and nudge your hand for more rubs.   Sissy doesn’t care to be picked up but if you pick her up, she will allow you to put on a harness and leashes for a walk and she will stay in your lap for some petting.  With patience, time, and the influence of her small furry siblings, Sissy’s confidence has grown daily! Sissy’s sweet playful side shines through every day!  She would be a wonderful companion for another small playful dog.  She currently lives with small dogs and adults.  She is respectful when another dog doesn’t want to play.  Energetic large dogs and small kids make her nervous.  Older respectful teenage children should be okay.  A large dog that is quiet and low keyed should be fine with slow introductions.  A quieter household without a lot of visitors would make Sissy most comfortable.  If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, even-tempered dog who’d love to play with your small dog then Sissy may be your girl.   Everyday she shows us what a wonderful girl she is blossoming into!  It will be important to be patient with her to earn her trust, to have a quieter home with no young kids or high energy large dogs.  Sissy would be fine hanging out in another room with a “safe space” if young kids visited.   A fenced in yard would be the perfect home for Sissy.  Fill out an application, I’d love to tell you about this sweet girl!  Sissy is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Nectar was very scared and anxious coming out of the shelter and is still settling into a home life again with her foster family. She does get very anxious when her new family is out of sight and a home with no other pets would be recommended at this time. Nectar does like affection and pets, and loves being next to your side but she does take a little bit to warm up to new people. Check back for more updates as Nectar continues to settle in! Nectar is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Arthur is a 1 year old pup who has not previously been exposed to many things so everything is new and often scary to him.   He was raised with his parents and brother so is very dog friendly.  He is curious but very timid.  When scared,  he does not bark or growl just avoids and retreats.  He does much better with a doggy friend by his side and for this reason, he would do best in a home with an easygoing canine friend that can give him a little courage as he learns new things.   He does seem to get anxious at times (will whine or bark if left alone) but much less if he can be following around or snuggling with his dog friends.   He is actually more comfortable with dogs than people but after a week, is now starting to seek out attention from his foster family.  He has done well with considerate kids.  He has met a 6 year old up to teens and does well as long as they approach him gently.       His brain is like a little sponge and he is learning new things every day.   He is working hard on potty training.  He does not know many commands yet but is a smart little guy that should learn quickly once he feels safe in a new home.  Arthur loves being outside lying in the sun or sniffing all the smells but does startle easily at noises and will run away so being secured will be very important.  He is doing well with leash training when he has his doggy friend next to him.   He is just starting to play with toys and loves to chew.    At night he sleeps soundly in his wire crate if he is in the same room with his dog friends.      This little guy is getting braver every day.  He is cute as pie and twice as sweet.   He is looking for a home that can slowly introduce him to all fun doggy things.   He would do best in a home with another easygoing pup that can tolerate some puppy behavior.  He has not been cat tested but with his demeanor, may do well with a dog savvy cat.     Arthur is from a local impound.
