We got Luna from a coworker in June 2023. She is 1 year and 3 months old. We are ideally looking for someone with a backyard and possibly other small dogs for her to interact with. Luna is scared around big dogs but is much more confident around other small dogs. Unfortunately, the dog park at our current place is not well-kept, causing her to get sick several times. Since Luna loves being outside, it would be great if her new home had a nearby dog park or someone with the time to take her there regularly. Luna loves people and gets super excited around them. She loves to cuddle and has boundless energy.

Story
Pepper is very sweet, smart, but somewhat stubborn. My sister, who has severe anxiety, adopted her as a puppy, but couldn't deal with her. I have her now and am housetraining her and she's doing great. I'm also training her on basic commands and ensuring I do not repeat the behaviors she became used to encountering with my sister. She's scared of the command "come," which means "You are going to your crate!" I say, "Crate" and give her a treat. We are also working on basic training. She is good with some dogs, but not those who are territorial. Not sure about cats. She's good with kids. She needs someone who is patient and either has a decent sized room for her to chase a light in or a yard so she can run a couple of times a day. She is 14 months old.

Story
I found Oscar at a Humane Society in KS in 2022. They were unsure of his age, but positive that he was at least 3 years old. After recently moving to Texas, and because of my living situation, he has began to develop behavioral issues by being aggressive towards other animals within the home. He is very sweet, loving, and affectionate, but can be protective of his owner. Because of these issues, I would like for him to go to a home that does not have other animals, to an owner that is willing and able to spend lots of time with him, and is willing to take the time to help Oscar adjust to his new home.

I have had Hershey since birth she is sweet caring and loves kids she has lots of other dogs to play with here but we are moving and she doesn't like cats so I can't bring her with me. She does have a little of anxiety she doesn't have any shots but she is 5 years old and very playful. She like to be able to be in a window to sun bath and she like to be outside.

Jackie is a 15-week, 8-pound Chihuahua mix who would make a great family dog. She lives in a foster home with 5 other dogs and 5 cats. And she gets along with EVERYBODY. She’s such an eager-to-please girl who is easily made happy. Of course Jackie likes to do all the puppy things: wrassle with her foster brothers and sisters, play zoomies around the yard, crouch with her adorable puppy butt in the air. She particularly loves squeaky toys—especially when you toss them in the air for her to catch. She also loves the water—so much, in fact, that she swims in her own water bowl. But when Jackies’s done playing, pick her up and she turns into melty puppy—just settling herself into your arms for a nice butt scritch or tummy rub. She’s very sweet and loves to snuggle. Jackie’s housetraining is underway, but she’ll need more work. She’s fine in a crate for short periods of time, and she is great on car rides. Jackie would do okay in a house or an apartment, and she’d be great with kids 7 and up. Jackie’s adoption fee is $300 and includes spay, all puppy shots and microchip. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.

Honey is a 2 year old, 8 lb Chihuahua mix. She has a beautiful honey-colored coat and white chest and paws. Of course, she has the typical Chihuahua "squint-eye", which is so cute and will make you smile. Honey is a little timid at first but warms up quickly. She loves to go outside and run and investigate, but due to her small size, she should not go outside alone. She loves mealtime and snacks, and she may try to sneak a bite of the other dogs' food. No aggression at all, but probably best to feed her in her crate or another room. Honey is making great progress on her potty training and has already learned to go to the door when she needs to go outside. She gets along just fine with other dogs, but she could also be an only, as long as she gets lots of attention from her people.
