Story
Regis (looks like Chow Chow/Shepherd Mix) came to us when local animal control found him injured and needing emergency medical assessment. We do not have any other background information. After several months of TLC from our clinic staff and a leg amputation, Regis is ready to find his forever home. Patience is needed when meeting Regis, as he is wary of new people. He will need a home without children. Regis's estimated DOB is 8/1/2017; Regis was generously sponsored by George Foster during our Reigning Cats and Dogs event. Thank you, George Foster, for sponsoring Regis! Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Story
Now we understand! BeeDee's FOMO sent a swab to Wisdom Panel and we were so surprised! BeeDee is 36% Chow Chow, explaining her absolute devotion to her human and her fluffy backside; 29% Belgian Malinoise which tells us why she is so stinking smart! Did you know that Belgian Malinoise dogs are the most popular drug sniffing breed? She is 11% American Pitbull Terrier and 10% American Staffordshire Terrier. Did you know that (despite a bad rap given by the media) Pittie dogs are very loving, devoted and playful? BeeDee loves to play! She will easily spend an hour running around with a squeaky toy. Last but not least, BeeDee is 7% Husky, which gives her the ability to talk! She has no problem telling you the news or asking for a treat! Gotta love that Scooby-Doo attitude! Mix it all together and you have a shy, but loving, playful and fun girl. If you are looking for pure joy every morning and a whirlwind of squeaks and excitement with each new toy, BeeDee is surely your girl! This little lady will play hard to get in the beginning, but when you earn her trust (usually a couple of days), she will not leave your side.BeeDee would be happy with some other dogs around to play with and is currently living with three other dogs. BeeDee is best with socialized dogs near her own size. She would be just as happy to be an only dog as long as there are toys and she has a lap to lay her head on to ask for a scruff behind the ears. This pretty girl is approximately one-year-old. She weighs around 60 lbs. BeeDee came to her foster mom as a stray, but FOMO says she has never seen a dog happier to be living in the house! BeeDee is incredibly smart and likes to please her person. While she has not spent a lot of time on leash, she has done well when she has been walked. She is crate trained and potty trained. BeeDee is spayed, heartworm negative and current on vaccines and preventatives. While she prefers to spend most of her time inside, she will require a fenced yard. The girl loves to run in her big fenced yard!To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Once your application has been processed, we'll be in contact. We cannot schedule a meet and greet without a completed application.
