PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/6/25 Senior alert **Good with other dogs and cats!!! Seniors are pretty easy, low key and don’t ask for much! Sundance is a handsome older fella who has been in rescue since last summer. Let’s find him a home to live out his golden years. We believe he is a St. Bernard/Chow mix. He's about 70 pounds. He and his brother Butch (who is adopted) were surrendered to a shelter last summer when their owners divorced. They were unfortunately on the euthanasia list. How anyone can surrender their two senior dogs to a shelter is mind blowing, but we'll just be happy we were able to pull them from the shelter and find them homes! The shelter said Sundance was about 9 years but we suspect more like 10-12 years old. He was in rough shape at the shelter and had to be shaved down because he was so matted. He is a low key boy and doesn't ask for much. He is good with other dogs as well as cats. He has some arthritis and is on Glucosamine and Meloxicam for that. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. This includes microchip, spay/neuter, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
