Story
Jolene and Ruby are 2 of the cutest, most lovable rambunctious puppies you’ll ever meet. Born November 1st, 2024 – these pups have got it all going on. Mom is a silky terrier mix (yorkie mix ultimately) and dad is a poodle – They currently weigh about 4 lbs and we estimate they won’t get bigger than 15 lbs (mom is a little bigger). Jolene is the blonde wirehair pup (does not seem to shed), and the foster named her Jolene because it’s guaranteed she’s going to steal your man. Ruby is the black and white one (almost spaniel looking!), and she was name after the Kenny Rogers song “Ruby, don’t take your love to town”. Both puppies are so outgoing, so sweet, and some of the most well socialized puppies. They’re not afraid of anything or trying anything. They’ve been fostered with all age children and do WONDERFUL with kids. They love to play with them! They’re currently being fostered with other dogs (7!) and cats and have no issues at all. They would do great with other animals in the home to play with as they get bored easily. Ruby and Jolene love their toys, love getting into everything and being your normal havoc causing puppies. They are working on house training and pad training. There’s nothing bad we can say about these puppies. If you’re looking for a lifelong companion, a puppy who will keep you on your toes and entertained for a long time to come, please consider adopting 1, or both, of these amazing girls. We will more likely have a high number of applicants for these girls – If you’re interested in adopting we strongly recommend filling out an application at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org sooner than later as we do go in order as received. These puppies are current on age appropriate vaccinations, preventions, dewormer, microchipped and will have their health certificate issued by a veterinarian prior to receiving the puppy.

These pups are in Bristol, Connecticut too!

Story
Meet Casper, a ~5 year old neutered male mini poodle/shih tzu mix, weighing about 22 lbs! He is a sweet boy who can be shy at first and is fearful/aggressive to strangers. He wants desperately to form connections with people (and he does once you give him space and let him come to you on his own terms), but he is very fearful and he has learned that behaving in an aggressive manner = the scary thing goes away. He takes time to warm up to strangers and needs someone who will be patient with him and work on helping him learn to trust. He DOES have the capacity to trust and once he does, he is an absolute LOVE and a very sweet boy.  Casper is selectively good with other dogs after a proper introduction (he does best with similar sized dogs). He is good with people once he has gotten to know them and trusts them, but would do best in a child-free home. He has not been cat tested, but we feel he would probably do ok with cats. Casper's ideal home would be one with a quiet, calm environment. From Casper's current foster: "Casper is truly growing everyday. He still is protective when strangers come into the house but we are working on this. Going to do some more training to help him there. But as far as my family in my house, he is a complete love. Loves to play, lay on your lap and be around his people. He is so gentle and sweet. That is contrary to his reaction with strangers in the house. I just love this guy. He is amazing with my boys. Has welcomed the puppies into the home with no problems. He is going to be an amazing dog to the right people. He just wants to be loved and feel safe. So sad he had a rough start but he is such a joy to have." Casper is medically up to date, crate trained, and mostly housebroken. Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2207805##
