Story
Macklin is a sweet, caring, and loyal companion. He is an 8-year-old Cockapoo and his parents' owners were breeders in Central Illinois. Macklin has always been excitable. His parents' owners reported that he was returned by another family before he became ours. Understandably, he's had lifelong separation anxiety. This anxiety looks like barking and whimpers, as well as zoomies on furniture and jumping. He likes people a lot and does not like being isolated from others, even at home. He was the best in his PetSmart training class as a puppy. He's very intelligent and stubborn. He is a homebody lap dog and needs someone who can give him the long blocks of attention and love he deserves, especially in his senior years. He loves to lay and to sleep in bed with you. You are his companion in all senses. He would work well in a home that can deliver significant, sustained, empathetic, and patient attention. Best for a single person or a couple with no children and no other pets.
