Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi I'm Lemon Tart!  When I came into rescue I had a little secret hidden in my belly and had pups soon after arriving in MN.  I was a sweet loving mama, but those days are over and I'm ready to be someone's baby girl.  let me tell you about myself. I'm a sweet shy lady who wants to be loved, but can be unsure of how to ask for it.  In my home I usually follow a few feet behind my mom as she does things because I want to be near her.  When she looks at me I will take a few steps towards her and then sit and hang my head submissively.  She gets down to my level and gently gives me scratches and pets and kisses my head and tells me I'm a good girl.  I like that and when she stops I either remain or I look up like I'm saying why did you stop?  With strangers I'm quite skittish.  I need time and patience from you to know that you love me and just want the best for me. I'm sweet as pie so please know there isn't one mean bone in my body.  I'll just look at you with worried eyes and then hang my head or run and hide if you scare me.  Once I know my home I'm much more relaxed.  When I see my mom in the morning now my eyes light up and I'm smiling and my body is wiggling a happy hello.  When I'm with my doggie friends I do feel more confident and I do need one in my future home that I can follow and learn from.  I'd love to have one that will play with me. That's when you see the carefree girl.  I do require a secure fenced yard right now since a leash is just too scary.  I think little kids would be too overwhelming since they are fast and loud and I don't want to hide.  I am kennel trained and I never make a mess and I've never made a peep in my home.  I've been wonderful about going outside to do my business too.  I don't really care about food, but I do eat like to eat my meals in my kennel.  That way no one else eats my portion.  Do you have love in your heart for a girl like me? This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. Hi there! My name is Amy. My foster mom tells me I am the prettiest little girl with my blue eyes and curly ears! I LOVE to be by my people, either by their feet or on their lap. I like to get my zoomies out and then I am the best cuddler/napper. I love to sleep with my human sisters, usually right by their neck. Sometimes I sleep with them at night and other times I sleep in my kennel. The kennel is not my favorite and I let them know initially, but I settle down and sleep all night. I am learning how to do "all" things puppy. My leash training has been going well, I am just curious about everything so I make frequent stops. The resident dog has welcomed me and she is showing me the ropes. Sometimes she shows me her teeth when I get to be too much for her, I don't quite understand! I have been working hard on my potty training and I do really well on a schedule. My foster mom tells me I am bunny-like with as much as I jump around and land on all fours. I have managed to jump a baby gate and open a taller gate with my teeth. I am a very determined puppy who just wants to be with my people! I greet my family every morning and every time I see them with the best butt wiggle and tail wag.
