Any potential adopter, please read thoroughly: Duchess is a sweet and loving cocker spaniel mixed pup who melts hearts with her big brown eyes and silky soft fur. She's a bit of a firecracker, though - this headstrong, 7 month old, little girl knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. But don't worry - she just needs guidance and boundaries to help her grow into a well-behaved adult dog. *Her needs:* * A family who will spend lots of time with her, as she thrives on attention and interaction * Guidance and consistency with potty training, as she's still learning the ropes * A safe and secure space to play and exercise, as she's full of energy and loves to run around * A crate or designated area to keep her safe when left alone, as she can be prone to chewing if left unsupervised * Positive reinforcement training, as she's food-motivated and eager to please *Her likes:* * Playing fetch and chasing after toys * Snuggling up for cuddles and snoozles * Going on adventures with her favorite humans * Getting treats and praise for good behavior * Learning new tricks and commands *Having other pups to play with - she loves a good game of chase and tug of war. *Her dislikes:* * Being left alone for long periods of time without supervision * Being scolded or punished for mistakes - Duchess responds best to positive reinforcement *Being approached too quickly - she will pee from fear. *Her special talents:* * Duchess is a quick learner and picks up new skills in no time * She's a master snuggler and loves to burrow under blankets for cozy cuddles * She's got a wagging nub that never stops moving when she's happy *She's undeniably the cutest pup you've ever seen Duchess is a very special puppy but needs exactly the right home where she can thrive!! We got Beau from a Craig’s list ad so our other dog would have a playmate. Unfortunately, my landlord is only allowing one dog at our new house. Beau is the most affectionate, sweet, playful little cocker spaniel you will ever meet. It breaks our heart to have to part with him, but knowing he will go to a good family helps a lot.

Sarg is a friendly Golden Cocker Spaniel (b. Oct 2015) and he needs a new place because his owner is ill and no longer able to care for him.  Sarg is friendly with other dogs, new people and kids of all ages.  He gets excited when visitors stop by, but will eventually settle down.  He is crate trained and sleeps in his kennel all night.  Sarg loves to play fetch and be chased as he loves to run.  A fenced yard for him would be preferred.  He is leash trained and knows a few commands.  He gets a little nervous during car rides and huddles on the floor.  He has never been around cats. Sarg enjoys a good bone to chew on now and then.  He is currently working on loosing some weight, and is on a prescription weight management food that he will need to stay on until otherwise directed by a veterinarian. He is not afraid of thunder or fireworks at all.  Apply now for Sarg to be your new companion! The suggested adoption donation for Sarg is $365, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
