Story
Howie the hugger. Yep that is what we call this beautiful purebred golden colored Cocker Spaniel. This boy is a sweet spirit inside and out. This 2-year-old boy weighs only 22 lbs. and came from a very sad environment where he was filthy and matted and emotionally abused. He is not damaged except for the fact that you can't raise your hand over his head without him cowering a little bit. This boy has the greatest love for people and he brings a smile to the heart of his foster mom. He will make a remarkable family pet because he only wants to be loved and to love you back equally. Howie gets along great with other dogs and even likes the resident cat in his foster home. Due to the emotional neglect that he has suffered from, he needs some specially focused attention and love. We know there are Cocker Spaniel fans out there who will recognize what a beautiful treasure this boy will be to adopt. Somewhat shy at first, he will melt your heart in 60 seconds. Howie weighs 22 pounds and needs to gain some weight, but overall he's very healthy. He likes car rides, walks and always wants to please. He has been neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, prevention and microchipped. If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  he is ready to pack his bags and travel on the van northward to a new and loving home PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 13, 2024, 1:29 pm

Story
My name is Malloy and I am a 2 year old pure bred Cocker Spaniel that came from a very bad and desperate home environment that was not clean and it showed in the condition of my matted fur and dirty body.  I have been shaved down with a summer cut and I feel so much better. Everyone comments on how handsome I am and I kind of puff up with a newly found sense of confidence.  Right now I weigh about 25 pounds and I am told over and over that I am a really sweet and friendly boy.  Considering my former life of isolation and very dirty living conditions, and being passed around to a few homes, they say it is a miracle that I am so emotionally happy and even keeled. I am ready to breath a breath of fresh air and start over in a whole new home with good people to love me.  I am very nice to all my foster siblings at the foster house I am in now.  I have not met the cats, but my foster mom says she knows I would be respectful and gentle.  I have no aggression whatsoever in my personality and no mean bones anywhere.  I just want and need love.  I am getting the hang of the bathroom break schedule and I am fully neutered now with all my shots done and I am cleared of worms and even a negative heartworm test.  I just want a great new life to get started very soon.  Are you looking for a wonderful Cocker Spaniel to love you?  Well I am raising my paw to volunteer for a lifetime.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 8, 2024, 9:53 pm

Story
Edison is an amazing and resilient senior Cocker Spaniel with a heart full of love and wisdom. Despite his age and any past hardships, Edison exudes a gentle spirit and a quiet strength that inspires everyone he meets. His resilience is evident in his calm and loving demeanor, and he has an incredible ability to bring comfort and joy to those around him. Edison is deeply bonded to Daisy, a sweet and energetic mixed breed. They are truly inseparable, providing each other with support and companionship. Their bond is heartwarming, and we want them to find a perfect home where they can stay together. Edison enjoys the simple pleasures of life, like snuggling on the couch, gentle strolls, and being close to his human companions. His presence is soothing, and he complements Daisy’s playful energy beautifully. Edison understands basic commands, is housebroken, and is well-behaved. He is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, with regular vet check-ups to ensure he stays healthy and happy. If you are looking for a pair of loving and loyal companions, Edison and Daisy might be the perfect addition to your family. Their adoption fee includes a special consideration for Edison, as they must be adopted together. Important Adoption Information: - Crate Training: We believe strongly in crate training your new arrival and keeping the crate up so your pupper has their safe place. Of course, their safe place should be full of dog beds, pillows, and blankies.- Pet Insurance: Pet insurance is required prior to pick up. Please calculate this into your monthly expenses. We recommend Trupanion. Why Trupanion? 1. Coverage for all new injuries and illnesses2. They pay directly to the hospital or facility3. Unlimited payout for the lifetime of your petPlease send a copy of your policy to deb@pawsfromafar.org. Adventure Awaits:Paws From Afar believes that all dogs should have adventures as often as possible. They need a change of scenery, new paths to explore, or oceans to swim in. Adoption Process:- If pupper is still listed, she is still available.- We bring our dogs up from the south. If you require a meet and greet, we are not the right rescue for you. However, we are happy to connect you with the pups' fosters prior to adoption.- To submit your adoption application, please go to [pawsfromafar.org](http://pawsfromafar.org). PLEASE DO NOT SEND AN "I'M INTERESTED" NOTE. APPLY INSTEAD, WE LOVE SEEING YOUR APPLICATIONS ##2097753##
