I’m a quiet and very beautiful adult female Cocker Spaniel who is still learning about toys, but I enjoy exploring the yard and will usually return with dirt in my nose! Hee, hee!! That said, I love nothing more than to eat, snuggle, sleep…repeat and my favorite sleep spot is either foster mom’s chest or in bed with her…I’m just sayin’!! I don’t mind baths, being brushed, or getting my ears cleaned but I don’t like getting my nails done; new people make me nervous; and loud or sudden noises scare me. In fact, I tend to pace/circle and tremble a lot, so I take daily anxiety medication (with peanut butter…YUUUMMM). This means however, that kids are not a good fit for me unless they are older and respectful of my space. I have not met any cats and I pretty much ignore the chickens here, but I am good with other dogs (I don’t even mind when they try to finish my food (Hee, hee). Anyway, I need a doggie companion at my new home (prefers females) and a fenced yard where we can frolic. I’m a smart girl who knows what “sit” means; I’m good with the crate and leash; and I am, for the most part, potty trained. However, although I try my hardest not to, I do admit that I may have an occasional accident in the house because sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me. My dream fur-ever home is a calm and quiet one with YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving fur-ever family that will NEVER give up on me. I’m an incredibly sweet, quiet, and laid-back female Cocker Spaniel. I am blind but make no mistake…I still love my life! If you are looking for a loving companion who simply wants to take it easy and enjoy life with you, I’m your girl!  I have met chickens and cats and am completely fine with both.  Given my lack of vision, a fenced yard is easiest but as long as you go out with me, one is not needed.  Leashes and I have a complicated relationship! Not to be braggy, but I am quite smart.  Even though I am blind, I can actually do stairs on my own. Ok, full disclosure only a few and only with supervision.  I am working on getting my weight down and my allergies under control. I am on a raw or fresh prepared/cooked  diet and it is helping me look and feel my best! I was quite overweight at 38 pounds so I have a long way to go and will definitely need an adopter who will be my life coach! So far I have lost 8:pounds and my goal weight is 26 pounds.  I truly am an angel who would love nothing more than to find my fur-ever home with YOU…a very patient, unconditionally loving family that will NEVER give up on me. Despite being both deaf and blind, I'm a spirited little Cocker Spaniel puppy who's ready to take on the world! Nothing holds me back from exploring and having adventures. I may not be able to hear or see like other pups, but that doesn't stop me from loving life to the fullest. At home, I'm a bundle of energy and joy. I'm always ready to play, play, play! Whether it's tearing up cardboard, chewing on bones, or romping around with my canine companions, I'm happiest when I'm on the move. But don't worry, I also know how to snuggle up and enjoy a good nap when it's time to rest. I'm great with kids and other dogs, big or small. I love making new friends and spreading joy wherever I go. And while I'm still working on my potty training and crate training, I'm making progress every day. I do have some special needs due to my disabilities. I need daily eye cleanings and frequent ear washes to keep me comfortable and healthy. And because I can't see or hear very well, I need a bit of extra supervision to ensure I stay safe, especially when exploring outdoors.  I have what is called "micro eyes" in that my eye ball is very small and my eye lids are then too big for them.  My eye lids fold in and require daily cleanings.  If those cleanings don't seem to be doing the job down the road, I may need surgery to remove my eye balls and/or close my eye lids. We are hopeful that with daily cleanings we can avoid that.  I also came to Underdog with an ear infection, so might need some extra attention to ear cleanings, too. But don't let my disabilities fool you—I'm a brave and independent pup who's eager to experience all that life has to offer. With a loving and patient family by my side, I know I can overcome any obstacle and thrive in a consistent and supportive environment. So if you're looking for a unique and lovable companion who's full of spirit and determination, look no further than me, Nancy! *I’m a growing puppy and I have not yet had a lot of experience with crates, kids or cats and I might bark if something alarms me, but I really love to learn and hoping for a family who will take me to a basic obedience class to continue to help me build confidence and dog skills. Hi! My name is Taylor and I'm from Missouri! From her foster: Taylor is a very cute girl that will need transition time to her new home. She seems so serious and timid, but I know there is a playful dog inside her! Currently, she is shy about meeting people and prefers to find a quit spot in the yard to relax. She has started to tail wag, make motions to play but not sure she know how to engage yet. We have started calling her Georgie Girl for that reason and she responds well to that! She is currently getting used the the idea of an indoor home...but mostly spending time outdoors. At this point, she will need an outdoor space to settle in. However...we are making progress! She is starting to come (closer) when called, is starting to follow my resident dog, and is getting very interested in back scratches and rubs. Not sure she has ever had treats before so not quote yet motivated by treats. We haven't made it to leash training yet...loud noises still scare her. She will make great companion dog once she learns that humans are her pack too. She does not make a peep in her kennel and has not had any accidents indoors yet. She could easily be a solo dog but a resident companion would really help her learn how to be a dog again. From the Vet: Taylor is currently being treated for an ear infection which will be rechecked in early September. TBB can cover this recheck in adoption contract or if still in rescue. Any ear care beyond this appointment should only be scheduled if necessary, determined by TBB or Taylors future families primary care veterinarian. Taylor will need a dental procedure with possible extractions. TBB will cover this surgery plus any medications or recheck needed as determined necessary by the surgeon at time of surgery. During her initial exam, the vet found that Taylor had a grad 2/4 MPL (luxating patella) on her left rear leg. This is not considered to need surgical intervention at this time and may never be needed in the future as long as no pain or lameness is noted. TBB will not be pursing any care for this so any future monitoring and care would be the responsibility of the adopter.

Hi! My name is Alma and I am from Missouri. From her foster: Hi, my name is Alma but my foster family has been calling me Belle. I am as cute and sweet as can be but most things are still very new to me. I take on new experiences with a very nervous view, but as I get more used to being a normal dog and having positive experiences I get braver every day. Loud noises and new people make me pretty nervous still so I would do best in a calm household with a family that is going to be very patient with me. I am more nervous around men and have really attached to my foster mom but even when she comes home from work it takes me a little bit to remember how much I love her and get comfortable again. When I am nervous I scurry around from room to room. As soon as everyone sits still I will join them on the couch for snuggles. My favorite thing ever is cuddling. If you have a couch and a soft blanky I am your girl. I go in the crate when my foster parents are at work and do fine but if I know that they are home, I will cry and howl because I don't like being alone. I hope my future family doesn't mind a cuddle buddy at night because I like to nestle up right on your shoulder. I would say bed time is my favorite time because it's a whole night of snuggles :) I use the other dogs in the house as a safe space when I don't know what do so, so another calm doggy friend would be great but not required. I am still learning potty training- mostly because outside can be very overwhelming so sometimes it distracts me from doing my business but I am having less and less accidents everyday! I am showing interest in toys and treats but don't really know what to do with them quite yet. One thing I have really enjoyed is going for walks. I do still scurry around quite a bit as we walk as I am still learning but love taking in all of the smells. Overall I just want a family that will give me the time and patience to open up and continue to learn new things on my own time. Once you have gained my trust you will be greeted with the cutest wiggles, especially when you tell me that I am a good girl!

Minni is a great pup and is looking for her furever family. She is potty trained, does well with dogs and cats, and loves people. She has been with her current foster for just over a month and is now ready and raring to go!
