ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Mercy, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I am scared because I have not been around a lot of people or lived in a home as a pet. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. I will need time to trust people who want what is best for me and are not going to hurt me. That is something I have not experienced so far in my life. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Lady. One of the children in my former home became severely allergic to me so the family asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am a happy and friendly. I even like cats. I love to play with toys, go for walks and ride in car. I am house trained and crate trained. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I do have a few medical issues that need managed, but they are not serious. I have dry eye so I will need eye drops, I do have hypothyroidism so I need a daily pill to help my thyroid. It will also help my fur grow back normally. I have ear infections that are being treated as well as skin infections. I will need quality food that will not flare my allergies. You can see in my pictures that I love people and love belly rubs. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Story
Most people have heard of “Peter Rabbit” or “Peter Pan”, but few have heard of “Peter the Pup”! Well, “Peter” the Pup has arrived! I’m  “Peter” the pup, a very Very Cute Cockapoo boy about 1 year old and weighing approximately 20#. Just look at my mug shot. I’m a gorgeous blend of White, Red, Golden and “Chestnut” colored curly coat with a big old smile on my face since being released from a breeding situation. Their loss is Your Gain! Cockapoos are a mix of Springer Spaniel and Poodles. Known world wide as “Designer Dogs”, we are “Hypoallergenic” with little if any shedding. With my thick luscious curly/kinky coat, I will need routine grooming. Cockapoos are also great family pets if given time, patients, positive reinforcement and consistency then I will acclimate to being a real dog. I do need some normal training presently being in a kennel type rescue situation. But my rescue team feels with my superior intelligence of my breed mix will serve me well in training. I am a little shy, reserved and hesitant at first with people, but I do warm up if given time, shown patients and loved.  Great with all other dogs, I am untested with cats. The need for OLDER children is due to my Skittishness, not due to aggression. I’m in NO WAY aggressive. A 4 foot fence is needed as well for security until I forget my past, bond and feel safe.  So what do ya think? Both Peter Pan and Peter Rabbit were free spirited, mischievous fictional characters who loved adventure. But now comes “Peter the Pup”, a Non-Fictional little boy who wants to be included in your adventures for years to come! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:    spay/neuter surgery,  microchip and registration,  age appropriate vaccinations,  initial dewormings,  Activyl for fleas,  tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),  bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) WE do not "HOLD" animals without an approved application and a non-refundable/non-transferable paid adoption fee.  Adoptions are on a first come, first serve basis.  We can not send extra pictures.  WE do not ship, you must pick up the pet.  Kitties must be transported in a secure cat carrier.   Pooches require a "martingale" collar and a non-retractable leash.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 9:23 pm
