Osiris is a 2 year old male Hound mix who is such a perfect gentleman. He will gladly Sit on command and is very well-behaved, especially during leash walks. He enjoys being around people and makes an excellent walking buddy, always polite when greeting others, whether they’re humans or fellow dogs. While Osiris is generally calm, he does have a playful side, delighting in games like Fetch or chasing toys. He is also a sweetheart who loves getting affection, and he will often position himself for a good back scratch … his big joyful smile will show you just how much he appreciates those moments! His handsome looks and good-natured spirit are sure to win your heart in no time. So if you are looking for a loyal companion who will brighten your life with joy and affection, Osiris is your perfect match! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.March 9, 2025, 10:36 pm

Story
I first found Ruby in a crate/kennel small for her alone, but with a German Shepard. She was severely malnourished and looked terrified. I let my heart take over and didn’t consider our financial situation. I’m glad I took her from her neglect but now I struggle to have the time or money to take care of her. She is such a sweet, loving, and playful dog. Really good with kids, and plays great with dogs and gets along with cats. It breaks my heart and I can’t bring myself to put her in a shelter for fear of euthanasia. But I just can’t give her the life a good dog like her needs, and I’ve been trying for months to find someone who can care for her how she needs, better than I ever could.
