Story
Clyde is our newest coonhound rescue. He's been at a boarding place in Virginia for several months, where he was left by another well-meaning rescue that ultimately couldn't take him. Clyde is a loving, friendly hound who enjoys attention from everyone. He walked in the local parade and happily greeted everyone - what a great coonhound ambassador! Clyde is about 5 years old and weighs about 53 lbs. He's an energetic hound who would love an active playmate and a fenced yard or an adopter who will get him out for walks several times a day. Clyde has arrived and is ready for visits in southern NH. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Application link (please copy and paste into your browser's address bar) https://ws.ishelters.com/application.php?k=coonhOUnd&t=Coonhound%20Adoption About our rescue We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. However, meet and greets are set up for approved applicants. Our Adoption Process Visit our website www.necoonhoundrescue.org for information about the Coonhound and Beagle breeds. Read ‘Is a Coonhound Right for You’. If you'd like to apply, our application is available at the link above. Adam Bir *Available is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! These hound pups are looking for their forever homes with loving adopters ready for the rewarding journey of raising a puppy.   Puppies require a home that can provide: 1. Time and Patience: Puppies need a lot of time and patience. A home where someone is available most of the day is ideal to manage their frequent potty breaks, feeding schedule, and training needs. 2. Puppy-Proof Environment: The home should be safe and puppy-proofed, with potential hazards like electrical cords, small objects, and harmful substances out of reach. 3. Willingness to Train: The family should be committed to training the puppy in basic commands, housebreaking, and socialization. Consistent and positive reinforcement methods are crucial. 4. Activity Level: Puppies are energetic and require regular exercise and mental stimulation. A home that can meet their play and exercise needs. Hounds are known to be vocal, no apartments for these pups. If you're ready to invest in a lifelong bond and guide a puppy through its early stages, apply to adopt today! **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic.
