Junior can be shy at first but he is very sweet. He seeks out attention from people and wants to give them hugs. He wants to be near people and get lots of loving. Junior is nervous about first meeting other dogs. He will play with gentle, friendly dogs but doesn't really like being around pushy or rowdy dogs.

Story
Mercer is a sweet and playful guy. He is always happy to make a new human friend, especially if they want to take him for walks, give him loving, or play with him. He likes to chase toys but hasn't quite learned the art of bringing the toys back yet. Mercer has several doggy pals in playgroup. He has been around children as young as five and has done well with them. He may not do well with cats, though.

Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $150.00   Birdie   Surprise! I bet you never expected to find me at SCMR! I'm always excited and zooming around and being goofy! It's just so good to be off the street! I'm 32 pounds of enthusiastic Coonhound or Birddog puppy...don't know yet! But I'm not more than 5 months old so everything is new and exciting to me! And I'm a girl.   I was dumped on Signal Mountain, TN, and got picked up by a Good Samaritan who couldn't keep me. So I was about to get dumped again, but I ended up with this nice lady at SCMR who couldn't let me get re-dumped! She says I'm real smart...have learned Sit and Lie Down. But that word NO is giving me some problems. This place I'm at is pretty small and doesn't have a yard. I sure would love a big fenced yard to run in. That's a must! Hey, I'm real good at Fetch! Anybody got a couple of young boys who would play with me?    And listen to this...I'm house trained! Yep! I know what a pee pad is for. But I'm a nature-girl and really prefer the outdoors for personal business. No chip but I've had all my shots and got spayed, whatever that is! I really, REALLY want a forever family. I'm just bursting with kisses and enthusiasm. Foster mom says I'm a real sweetie when I've worked off some of my energy. She named me Birdie and I like it! I knew right off when she said it that it was my name.   Come and get me! I'm in Chattanooga, TN, tearing up all the plants in her garden and having a blast!   Adoption fee: $150.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409.
