Story
Very loving dog w/ special needs: Incontinence: He wears male dog wraps that hold urine but not feces. I usually wipe the area with a Lysol wipe after picking up the feces. Taking him outside after meals helps prevent accidents, but they still occur. I’ll provide the brand and Amazon link of the best dog wrap for him. Mobility: Henry has severe hip dysplasia and partial paralysis from mid-spine down. He can run, walk, climb, hop, and dance but can only exercise for short bursts due to his condition. He can take leisurely walks. On cement, he wears protective booties on his back paws to prevent scraping. He has a wheelchair provided, but he feels restricted and doesn’t like it. He sometimes refuses to walk while clipped into it and needs gentle coaxing with treats. Neurological: Henry has a neurological disorder. He barks excessively and has constant barking episodes that are involuntary and don’t respond to cues or training. Medication is the only thing that has helped in the past.

Ernie is a 6 yr old Shih Tzu mix. He needs time to warm up and someone who will be patient. He is potty trained and is great with other dogs. He is a happy pup once he is comfortable. Adult only home with older respectful teens. No small children. He still needs to be neutered and RHR will provide a voucher for neutering.

Story
Greta (female) is a Shih Tzu and Gus (male) is a Pekingese. Both dogs are 11 years old. I am trying to rehome them together as I am relocating to a space that allows only one dog and I have a third Shih Tzu who I am going to bring with me. Both dogs will bark to go to the bathroom outside but they have also been trained on pee pads, as sometimes I have long work days. I am looking for a peaceful, loving home for them, with not a lot of commotion, as that is what they are used to. The dogs have been around my niece (2 years) and nephew (5 years) quite a bit and they are very good with them. Both dogs are couch potatoes and pretty much lay around for the most part but they also enjoy walks outside during the spring time. They are great companions and love to snuggle and receive pets. Gus loves belly rubs. Greta is super affectionate and loves to be in your lap. Serious inquiries only.
