Story
Walter is a 13 year old shih tzu that came to us from Montgomery County Animal Shelter. Upon examination, we found our sweet guy has a torn tendon in his leg that needs repair. You'd think he would be a grouch due to the pain but Walter is just the opposite! He seems perfectly content in life and mostly enjoys lounging around in a mellow environment. To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

Story
Aren't I just the cutest little thing?! I somehow found myself in an overcrowded shelter in south Texas and that is just not where I belong! I need a bed, blankets, and special humans to love me. Little Blossom is only 6 pounds and is ready to steal your heart.Blossom seems to be in overall good health. However, she does have chronic dry eye and will need to be on eyedrops daily to keep her comfortable. This is very common in her breed! Blossom loves all people including children! She loves cuddles and taking power naps on her human's lap!Blossom does well with other dogs. However, she is showing signs of food aggression. Her foster mom states, "She does not want to share her food and will fight my other dog to get to food my baby throws on the floor. It’s something easily managed, you just have to be mindful of her food aggression."To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.https://longwayhome.org/apply ❤ Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds.
