Meet Birdie
Breed: Shih Tzu
Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge
Age: Senior
Weight: 11lbs
Foster home: Stoughton, WI
Fun fact: Age is just a number to me! I love to show off my zoomies, can jump off furniture like a gazelle and fly up/down stairs!
Activity level: Medium
Friendly with: Dogs, older kids, cats (I’m curious but not aggressive, cats would need to be chill and Ok with some playing/chasing)
Sleep style: Cozy bed (dog or human!)
Meals: Kibble twice daily
Bark-o-meter: 4/10 (will bark initially in crate when her people leave, so not a good fit for apartment)
Shedding meter: 1/10
Best color: Red, makes me look and feel fast!
Walk out Song: “I Gotta Feeling” - Black Eyed Peas
Favorite season: Looking forward to spring, more time to explore outside
Personality: She is sweet, silly, stubborn, and smart
Enjoys: Puttering around a yard, walks, mealtime/snacks, speed drills

Birdie is a sweet and silly pup who is looking for a forever home. She’s quite active for a senior and happy to explore outside or join you on an adventure (she’s requested less vet and groomers visits, ha!). She’s mostly potty trained but not a fan of going outside unless it’s on her terms so will need a patient home to show her the ropes. She’s in great health but her eyes will need to be monitored (currently sees just fine!).
