We have a three and a half year old Portuguese Water Dog who loves to be outside and interact with people. She loves attention and being around people. She is also capable of being alone for an extended period of time. She can play ball/chase for hours and would love to be able to freely be outside. We have two dogs, including her, that have been together for over two years. Unfortunately she began attacking the other dog. Not ever time they are together, randomly, but enough for us to worry about the health of the other dog. We take her to a dog park, and she has always been great around other dogs. There are a total of five dogs in our house, mother in law, and another family living with us, that have their own dogs, and she has never gone after them. It. seems to be territorial only around our other dog. She wants to be the center of attention at all times. She is kennel trained, knows a lot of commands, and would do best with someone who can be with her throughout the day

Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Have you had a day where you are lost and you just can't find your way home?? US TOO!! Luckily we were "lost" at a CHURCH :) And the Pastor knew a rescue gal pretty well....and HERE we are!! We are sweet and happy pups, playful and great with everyone we meet. We want a home with some kids, lots of fun and water (we like to play in the pool :) We will have lots of kisses for you when you adopt one of us, each of us is gorgeous and each have our own personalities! Surely one of us have the right personality for YOU!!! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!!! 1 MILLION DOGS AND CATS ARE COUNTING ON IT! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
