Nicholas (Nikki) is a beautiful all red Dachshund Mix. He is 8 months old and has beautiful green eyes. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is good with children too. Nikki loves to play and he loves to snuggle and is always willing to settle down with his foster mom for a movie or a good book read. He likes toys to play with and bones to chew. Nikki loves to sun bathe and enjoys running around the yard with his foster friends. He will be a great companion dog and a good friend for another dog in his new home. Kipper is an absolute sweetheart! With his charming mix of Dachshund and Jack Russell terrier traits, plus his stunning eyes, (one blue and one brown) it’s hard not to fall for him. It’s wonderful that he’s playful and enjoys treats, especially carrots—those are great ways to bond and train him. It’s great to hear he’s already leash trained and just needs a bit more of a routine for house training. He does use a doggie door. Since he has a special bond with his sister Kayla, it would be worth considering a home that can accommodate both, especially since they enjoy each other's company. Kipper seems like he’d bring so much joy and love to a household that can provide him with affection, structure, and playtime. If anyone is looking for a loving companion who is ready to learn and play that is Kipper. He is playful with other dogs but he loves to be in charge! Though he is great with his sister. Alex is the cutest little sausage dog! Alex is estimated to be around 8 years old and is a sweet and sensitive guy looking for his fur-ever home. Alex is a mellow guy who enjoys the simple things in life like being cozy in front of the fireplace and eating tasty treats. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he never wants to leave your side. Alex is a little chunky and would benefit from daily exercise and a diet to help him get to a more healthy weight. He currently weighs around 15lbs. Alex came to us from a local shelter after he was surrendered with his buddy Bruno by their previous owner. We were told it was due to issues with the landlord. At first, we thought the boys were a bonded pair, but as we got to get to know them more, they seemed like they would be okay being separated. Bruno has been adopted, so now it's Alex's turn! Alex is the more outgoing of the two but is the more anxious one. While his buddy has learned to enjoy walks, Alex is more of a stay-at-home type of guy. He has learned to be more comfortable being outside, but would much rather be inside and cozy if given the choice. He loves to cuddle and give kisses but is always able to chill on the couch while you get work done. He would make a great companion for a senior person or couple or really anyone looking for a lap dog. Alex has done well living with other dogs and seems like he would enjoy having a mellow doggie buddy or buddies. Alex has done well living with cats and is great about ignoring them and giving them space. Alex previously lived with kids and could be a great addition to a family with kids older than 10 years old. Alex's previous owner said he and Bruno were pee pad trained, but he has been doing well transitioning to pottying outside. Alex likely would do best in a home with a yard, maybe with a dog door, to make the transition to a new routine easier. Alex is used to being crated when his foster mom is gone and he sleeps through the night in his dog bed. Alex is so ready for a fresh start with his fur-ever family.
