Nicholas (Nikki) is a beautiful all red Dachshund Mix. He is 8 months old and has beautiful green eyes. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He is good with children too. Nikki loves to play and he loves to snuggle and is always willing to settle down with his foster mom for a movie or a good book read. He likes toys to play with and bones to chew. Nikki loves to sun bathe and enjoys running around the yard with his foster friends. He will be a great companion dog and a good friend for another dog in his new home. He is leash trained and is housetrained. Nikki’s home should have a work from home person. Nikki has been neutered, microchipped and is vaccinated. If you are looking for a sweet boy to take on walks or adventures, Nikki says he is ready for new experiences and your companion. Story
Kali is an 8 year old dachshund black and tan. She is a loving dog that loves attention. She is mellow and is perfectly fine laying around and being cozy. She is very loyal and protective of her owners and home. She is not good with strangers until she gets to know them. Kali would be best in a home with less foot traffic from strangers. An older couple needing a loyal companion would be best. Kali is house and kennel trained. She tolerates cats and other dogs but would need to feed separately.

Story
Tina is a very, very shy Dachshund, Pug, Chihuahua mix (just guessing). There is no doubt she has suffered some abuse. The first day she wanted nothing to do with me, but she has warmed up to me. She will come up and lay her head on my leg and if I’m quiet and gentle, she will let me pet her. I have been letting her drag a small leash around with her and she now let me pick up the leash and gently walk her around a little bit and pick her up. Today was the first time she let me touch her paws. She is gonna need someone with a lot of patience, but they’re going to get a great, loving, gentle, loyal, sweet and very active little dog. She will need a quiet home where she can get used to life slowly. She loves honey nut Cheerios. She is a sock and shoe thief. She loves all kinds of toys. She has the adorable cute floppy ears, along with the long body and the tail of the dachshund, the head of a Chihuahua and the crunched face and wrinkles of a pug. Someone dropped her off at the Front Street shelter parking lot when they were closed. She sat there in the shelter for over a month in her terribly shy state. Tina weighs 16 pounds, housebroken, crate trained, microchipped, good with other dogs, cats to be determined, two years old, vaccinated, she has not been heartworm tested, will be spayed soon and her adoption fee will be $700. If interested, or you have questions please go to littlepawsdoggierescue.org and fill out an adoption questionnaire. Thank you.

Story
This puppy is around 4 and a half months old (18 weeks exactly). His mother is a dachshund but the shelter we adopted him from didn’t know what breed his father is. The reason we’re rehoming him is because our original dog is reactive and we thought it would work out but she doesn’t live well with him. His name is peanut and he sleeps a lot and is also very cuddly. He chooses to sleep with us whenever he has the chance. He has all of his shots and he is neutered. He is food driven. He’s lost around half of his baby teeth already. He’s around 19 pounds at the moment and will probably get a bit heavier. I would prefer to have an adopter that can devote a lot of attention to him. Since he’s in his early puppy stage, he needs attention and care.
