Story
This puppy is around 4 and a half months old (18 weeks exactly). His mother is a dachshund but the shelter we adopted him from didn’t know what breed his father is. The reason we’re rehoming him is because our original dog is reactive and we thought it would work out but she doesn’t live well with him. His name is peanut and he sleeps a lot and is also very cuddly. He chooses to sleep with us whenever he has the chance. He has all of his shots and he is neutered. He is food driven. He’s lost around half of his baby teeth already. He’s around 19 pounds at the moment and will probably get a bit heavier. I would prefer to have an adopter that can devote a lot of attention to him. Since he’s in his early puppy stage, he needs attention and care.

Story
Tina is a very, very shy Dachshund, Pug, Chihuahua mix (just guessing). There is no doubt she has suffered some abuse. The first day she wanted nothing to do with me, but she has warmed up to me. She will come up and lay her head on my leg and if I’m quiet and gentle, she will let me pet her. I have been letting her drag a small leash around with her and she now let me pick up the leash and gently walk her around a little bit and pick her up. Today was the first time she let me touch her paws. She is gonna need someone with a lot of patience, but they’re going to get a great, loving, gentle, loyal, sweet and very active little dog. She will need a quiet home where she can get used to life slowly. She loves honey nut Cheerios. She is a sock and shoe thief. She loves all kinds of toys. She has the adorable cute floppy ears, along with the long body and the tail of the dachshund, the head of a Chihuahua and the crunched face and wrinkles of a pug. Someone dropped her off at the Front Street shelter parking lot when they were closed. She sat there in the shelter for over a month in her terribly shy state. Tina weighs 16 pounds, housebroken, crate trained, microchipped, good with other dogs, cats to be determined, two years old, vaccinated, she has not been heartworm tested, will be spayed soon and her adoption fee will be $700. If interested, or you have questions please go to littlepawsdoggierescue.org and fill out an adoption questionnaire. Thank you.

Story
Yodi is four years old born in 2020. I'm not sure what breeds he mixed with. He has a long body and short legs and weighs 12 lbs, He has had two rescues in less then a year. The first rescue was when a witness saw him being beaten. Witness was able to get him to the vet for emergency care. Yodi has scars on his face and butt, but he wiggles with happiness. Yodi is forgiving of humans as dogs usually are. After his medical care he lived with another woman and her many dogs a short time until she passed away. Yodi is very happy boy who likes attention. He loves his belly rubbed. He is a couch dog who wants to sit on you or next to you. He snuggles his head under your chin for hugs. He does like to play with stuffed toys. He's happy to be picked up. I think he will be a great family dog who wants a companion. He is OK with other dogs and is pretty good with cats. He is living in a foster home that is a cat rescue also. He is fine with the cats as long as they don't try to snuggle on his face. He walks the house with the cats and pretty much ignores them. Yodi will make a great companion who wants company to watch tv with and a sleeping buddy.

Story
Meet Black Jack (Blackie)❤️‍🔥🐾 Blackie is a long haired Dachshund mix (maybe Australian Shepherd). He is estimated to be about 7yrs old, 15lbs. Blackie was surrendered to the shelter by his elderly owners who were keeping him in the backyard because they were scared they would trip on him in the house. Blackie starts off by being shy and timid, but when he warms up Blackie is loving, gentle, and loves to be brushed. Matter of fact, Blackie thrives on the love and care that comes with brushing. Another way to win Blackie over is with treats, he loves them!! It will take a calm, quiet environment for Blackie to blossom into the sweet dog he is. Blackie would be great for a single person or family with older kids, who want a mellow companion. Blackie does not know how to walk on a leash and frankly once he trusts you and you become his person/people, Blackie will follow you anywhere. Blackie gets along with cats and mellow dogs.Blackie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on his rabies vaccine. If you are interested in meeting Blackie, please fill out an application at www.broketailrescue.org, located under the contact tab.

Story
****** COURTESY POST - THE DOG IS NOT AT THE SHELTER******** Daisy is a lovely dog, I believe she is loving and caring unfortunately the problem is that she is scared of everything. I have another dog who pee’s randomly when she is stressed or scared and she stays in a corner most of the time and does not get along with my other blue heeler. She needs a home where she is the only pet she also overeats and starves and I think my other blue heeler and her have had an impact this week where they do not get along she needs a home where she is only paid attention to. Email kendrymolina@yahoo.com to learn more.    All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
