Story
Great family dog!!! Bear is a Dachshund Shepherd mix. He is very gentle around people and loves to play with other dogs. Bear is one of those big dogs with short legs that are so incredibly cute. He is medium in size weighing around thirty-five pounds. And the big news is he is housetrained. We can test him with cats if needed. He will need a fenced yard.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Come meet Brownie, he's as sweet as his name implies. This adorable Dachshund mix, is new to us and a bit shy. He's settling in and opening up to the volunteers, enjoying their pats and attention. Playtime is a favorite time for him, loves the other dogs in his play group. Cats we aren't sure of, but easy for us to check. Brownie is housetrained and ready to move in with his new family! A home with a fenced yard is always a plus. Great for exploring, playtime and just "chillin out".To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Please welcome Kai to the Homeward Bound family!! Kai comes to us as a transfer from Animal County, where he was owner surrendered in November when his family could no longer afford his care. Kai was a volunteer favorite at Animal Control - always a happy, happy dog! Kai is an approximate 2 year old male golden retriever/dachshund mix. At just 17 pounds, he has the beautiful blond coat of a golden retriever and the size of a dachshund. Kai is up to date on all his vaccinations thank to Animal Control and has tested heartworm negative. He just needs his neuter surgery and he'll be available for adoption. Kai walks well on his leash, entertains himself with a squeaky toy and appears to be housebroken. Kai loves the company of people and would be perfectly happy just sitting in your lap.
