You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application.The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Will only go to a home with another young small dog or someone taking 2.  Will NOT go to homes with young children as dachshunds are easily injured.  Fenced yard is a plusVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. LUCKY IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!    Lucky is his name, and he has EARNED it. This parvo survivor is a 5-6 month old mixed breed puppy. His mom was a dachshund, and his dad is a complete guess. He is only 20 lbs, and we don't expect him to get much bigger. He loves other dogs and children, but Lucky is afraid of cats. He is working on house breaking with a few accidents here and there, but he is currently training being taken out often and especially after eating. He will pick it up soon! He loves balls and toys. His favorite thing to do is get up in your lap and cuddle when he is tired.   Lucky is fully vetted including neuter, microchip, puppy shots as well as rabies shot. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA. NAOMI IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!   Hi! I'm Naomi as in Campbell because l strut like a queen! I am a 2 year old dachshund. I definitely have common dachshund traits: I love to sleep on the bed.... And there is no negotiating this one because I love my people and cushy pillows. I definitely need to be with somebody most or all of the time because I don't like being alone. I will cry and it is fairly pitiful if I'm being honest! I'm house broken, but sometimes, especially if it rains, I might have a little accident....oops! My time is best spent chewing on my toys & bones. I of course love fuzzy things (I also love to dress up!) and always want to cuddle. I enjoy going on walks, playing with friends, dog or cat, as long as they don't mind me! Treats and kisses are my favorite things in life! If you can keep up with the life that I have become a custom to (yes... I'm spoiled!) please put in an application. I'd love to be your everything!
