Story
This is Sunny, he is a 2.5 years old (intact) ee red male mini long haired dachshund (13 lbs). We got him from a family breeder, we had papers for him but unfortunately cant find them anywhere since our move 1 year ago He loves; bully sticks, treats, to play, walks, and most importantly loves to be around humans that give him lots of love, pets, cuddles and attention! He doesn’t like; when it rains/thunderstorms, birds/squirrels, and being alone for too long. He is recovering from a flea problem that started in July, but he is currently on Simparica Trio which has significantly reduced all adult fleas. He will need these tablets monthly for the next 5 months to make sure the fleas wont come back. We are rehoming him due to me having to move into a place that doesnt allow dogs. He would best suit a home with owners that will be home the majority of the day If you are interested please message me! He will need a new home by 8/31

Story
Daisy and Donut are 2 yrs old. The perfect age as they are all grown out of the puppy stages. They are both housebroken and just the sweetest lovable dogs. They are current on all vaccinations and preventatives and have been spayed and neutered. Daisy is a little more high energy but not excessive. She is wonderful especially if she has a chewy bone or toy. Not destructive, she just likes something to chew on. Donut is lower energy but still loves to chase a ball and play with his sibling. They both know sit and will shake when asked as well. Leash and kennel trained and will sleep in their kennel 8-9 hours with no problems. They are great dogs and their family does not want to give them up but they have had a coupled unexpected deaths in the family and unforeseen circumstances that make it unfair for these two as far as time and space. Their current family would love for them to go together and the adoption fees can be adjusted accordingly if we can find a spot together for them both. We will consider single applications if we can’t find a home together. Once adopted Daisy and Donut will will travel via private transport (transport cost is $165.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this family of two part of your life and home please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
About Me: Name: Siena Breed (or best guess):  Chihuahua mix (or Chiweenie) Approximate Age: estimated birthday 7/25/23 Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 12 lb Adoption Fee: $450 Requirements: loving, patient family Why In Rescue: Texas Transfer Siena is a sweet and spunky female Dachshund-Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home!  Siena is a bundle of energy and loves going for walks and playing with squeaker toys.  But don't let her lively personality fool you - Siena is also a cuddle bug who loves nothing more than laying by her humans!  She is great at entertaining herself but also enjoys being around people, making her the perfect companion for someone who enjoys both active playtime and cozy snuggles. If you are looking for a furry friend who can keep up with your active lifestyle but also knows how to relax and unwind after playtime shenanigans; then Siena could be the pup for you.  Siena will use her voice to communicate how happy she is and when she wants to play!  She is eager to find her forever home.  Adopt Siena and add a little bundle of joy to your life. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $450 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS August 18, 2024, 2:40 pm

But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on September 6th and arrive on September 7th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 8/6/2024 Estimated Date of Birth: 8/6/23 Dog Name: Chester Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Long Haired Dachshund Approximate Age:1 Year Approximate Weight: 9.5 lbs Adoption Fee: $550 Description: Chester is a perfect sized companion. He loves to lounge and cuddle. Chester has dreamy eyes and a he has a very silky coat! He does well in the car and will steal your heart! Will you be Chester’s forever family?  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. August 15, 2024, 9:27 pm

Story
Toss on the side the road like garbage this little guy and a few other were found fending for them selves. Luck was on their side that day that my niece and her mom were on their way to see family when they spotted them. They were kind to take care of them until they can get into our care. He has been completed vetted and ready to find a loving home that will take care of him for the rest of his life. He did test positive for Ehrlichia which is a tick born disease, however can lead a normal life. He need at his annual a blood test to make sure all is good. Other than that he is a happy little guy. He seems to be house trained and waits to be let out, he does lift his leg if you don't take him out right away but with him being just neutered he will stop doing that. Very sweet. If you are interested in adopting him please email us at helpapoochrescue@gmail.com . His adoption fee is 375.00
