Story
Meet Chantilly (Tilly), a Dalmatian/lab mix puppy born approx 12/21/24. She is a super sweet girl with the best big ears to kiss!!! Tilly is crate-trained. She sleeps through the night very well. She whines a little when left in the daytime but quiets down quickly.  She is working on her potty skills, but she does fairly well if on a schedule.    She loves kids and other dogs. We have 3 young boys and a 4 yr old Aussie.    She is a little timid outside or when meeting new people. She enjoys walks and does great on her leash. She loves toys and playing! She is definitely a puppy and enjoys chewing on her toys with those dagger puppy teeth.    She would be a very trainable dog. She does counter surf, jumps, and gets overly excited about her food, but we are working on sitting and staying. She cannot wait to find her forever family!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $595.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 8, 2025, 5:21 pm

Story
Georgie is 4 yrs old. He is HIGH energy, friendly, playful, curious, and an "alpha" type around other dogs. He currently does well in a 10X10 ft kennel. He currently is with another dog but they likely will go to separate homes. He loves room to run and rough house with dogs and/or people. He been on a ranch before and is relaxed around horses. He understands a few prompts. He does well in a home, but he should be walked every day - a fast walker or a runner is a huge plus. He is fairly large and strong but not too much for his breeding. He gives slight growls when nervous but has never bitten anyone. He does however like aggressive play with dogs and "play fights."

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxCome meet me and my friends at the 2025 Twin Cities Auto Show! Ask what day I’m attending See all of the animals attending this event. Alfie, as his foster calls him, is kinda shy and submissive at first but once he warms up he will be your best friend! He wants to be right with his family at all times and loves getting attention and reassurance that he's a good boy. He also loves to snuggle with whomever he thinks might give him a few pets. Petting another dog? “No problem,” says Alf. “I’ll just wedge in here between the two of you and steal a few for myself.” Alf was a little unsure of his canine counterparts in his foster home at first, but quickly transformed into the total goofball that he truly is. He loves to play with the other dogs, but is respectful of those who tell him “No thanks.”  He might do well in a home with a confident resident dog to show him the ropes.  If he's an only dog, working on training to build his confidence will be important.   He has an average energy level and sometimes will carry toys around in his mouth proudly showing them off.  On occasion, he will get so excited that he will talk by woo woo wooing at you! He doesn’t love going into his crate yet, but once he’s in with a treat or for meals, he does well.  He is crated when his foster owners are away since he sometimes finds things to chew on. He does love chewy bones and toys of all kinds so just needs to learn what's a toy and what's not.   Overall, Alf is a joyful dog who just wants to be part of whatever it is you might be doing. A perfect companion for walks, car rides, household chores, or lounging on the couch.    Watch this cute video of Alf: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lWLodFsU-i8 If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Hello, it’s nice to meet you! My name is Alicia and I’m estimated to be a 1-year-old Catahoula leopard dog mix. I weigh 39 pounds. I have the same name as my foster mom so my foster parents call me Aurora. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and boy am I happy to be free! My foster parents say I’m just about the sweetest girl ever. I love meeting new people and giving them kisses. I’m gentle, affectionate, and appreciative. I haven’t met any kids in my foster home but I’m sure I’d love a human kiddo to play with! I have met many dogs of all sizes and loved them all! I currently live with 60lb, 70lb, and 90lb dogs. I like to play for short bursts and can entertain myself if my furry friends aren’t feeling active. I’ve had a small amount of exposure to cats and did just fine with them. My foster parents are impressed with my training so far! I like to lay in the kennel for naps and don’t mind sleeping in there at night. If I’m in a playful mood and have to be kenneled when you leave the house, I may bark for a little bit. My foster parents let me sleep in bed with them and I don’t make a peep all night. I am potty trained! I did have accidents when I first joined my foster home, so my adopter should expect that I’ll have a few accidents as I get acclimated to a new routine. My foster mom says I am such an easy girl to walk on leash! Going on walks is a lot of fun and I especially like looking at the squirrels. Did I mention that I love toys? Stuffed animals are my favorite thing to chew on! My future family should know that I have bilateral hip dysplasia. The vet said I don’t need surgery right now, but it’s a real possibility when I’m older. For me to stay healthy, my family should commit to the following: 1) keeping me lean and active with low-impact exercise such as swimming or walks, 2) getting me on a prescription mobility diet such as Hill’s j/d, and 3) giving me a joint supplement like Dasuqin. My foster mom can give you more info! I know that sounds like a lot of work, but I promise I’ll make it worth your while. I’m an easy girl to love with my honey eyes and gentle soul. I can’t wait to find my forever home! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $275.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2025, 9:30 pm

Story
Cowabunga Dude!   Meet Rafael! He was born approximately March, 2024.  He came from a litter of 4. They named the puppies in the litter after the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!  We welcomed him into our home as our newest foster when he was around 5 weeks old. He was so tiny at 3 pounds that you could put him in your pocket. Boy has that changed! Today he weighs about 30 pounds! He's such a cute little snuggle bug. He loves to play and wrestle with his foster sister Wasp. He does great with our other two resident dogs as well! He's super friendly with everyone he meets. We're still working on the house training though. He will let you know when he needs to go outside to use the bathroom but if you don't stop what you're doing right away and let him out, he'll decide to just do his business wherever he's standing. He sleeps every night in crate with no issues at all. He gets along great with our children ages 8, 12, and 14. They love to sit and give him lots of love and attention. He'll even lay down and take naps with them while they're watch TV or playing video games.  Come check out Rafael and maybe you'll hit it off and your home could be his furever home!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
