Story
Zona is 7 years old & he is a purebred liver spotted Dalmatian. Z is the perfect companion for a couple without kids or even a single person looking for a best friend. He loves to sleep in the bed with you, but will easily sleep in a dog bed if that is not your jam. He LOVES fetch and even has a favorite ball so someone with a yard large enough to allow him to enjoy his favorite pass time would be ideal. He loves his fruit, peanut butter, and even frozen celery for his teeth and breath. Z is our best friend and our first dog and we are heart broken to have to rehome him. We have an almost 2 year old daughter and Z has been unable to adjust and share us with her. Z HAS to go to a family where there are no children (teens ok) & where there are no other pets. We want to ensure that our boy goes to a family where he will spend the rest of his many years without having to be rehomed again so we are looking for those who do not plan on having children or other pets.

Story
Meet Duluth! Duluth is a 8 month old Australian Kelpie/Terrier Mix who appreciates downtime time on the couch just as much as she enjoys spending time outside, soaking in the environment and sun. Her superpowers include loving you unconditionally, being fully house trained, getting along great with other dogs and people, and kissing you on the nose before you go to bed. She is still unsure about having too many people in the house, but loves and trusts people once she gets to know them. In terms of house training, Duluth is housetrained and goes to the bathroom outside as long as she is kept on a consistent schedule! Some of her favorite things are chew toys, respecting her personal time in the dog bed, belly rubs, cheese and sitting with her while she lays on the couch. If you're looking for a protective, intelligent cuddler, who is patient and values you and your attention, she might be your perfect match! Duluth is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. Her adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Update: Benny was adopted last year unfortunately his adopter is very ill and returned benny into our care to find his forever family. Benny is still with his current family as a foster.   Benny previous home says : Benny just wants to play, mostly with other dogs. He’s a sweet adolescent, to date, un-neutered male who appears to be a leader (or Alfa) within  his peer group. He’s not at all aggressive with other dogs, people, or children. He’s quite fond of everyone and everything, including cats and deer. He has lots of energy, but is also very calm and seemingly content alone. He’s both house and crate trained, and although he knows his name and several commands, including “come, sit, stay, stop, paw, lay down, stop, drop it, leave it”, he is not yet capable of walking off leash. He’s current with all his shots and has a one year check up with the vet in June. Attached are videos of him having both wet and dry food, tonight.the        Benny loves toys, he always enjoys carrying around his stuff toys. at first we couldnt tell them apart until we noticed how benny carries his toys. all of his brothers and himself are verly sweet mellow boys we are still learning bennys personailty but we are sure he will be a great companion for any family. ##1800647##

Domino is a very loving dog, he likes to follow and get in your personal space. He is deaf so it was quite difficult to train him. We would like to give him to a family that has space as we live in apartment and its clear he needs a backyard to run around and get all of his energy out. He also loves to give kisses!
