Story
Cooper may be small in size, but he’s big on personality! This young, playful pup is ready to find his forever home—but be warned, he’s got a bit of a spicy streak. While he’s affectionate and loves to have fun, he can be a little shy at first. Give him a little time and patience, and he’ll quickly show you his true, loyal nature. Cooper enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry friend to keep him company. He loves to run, jump, and dig, and has been known to easily hop over fences—so a secure backyard is essential for his happy, curious spirit! He’s a little mischievous, but with the right guidance, he’ll be the playful, loyal companion you’ve been looking for. A patient, experienced adopter will be a perfect match for this energetic guy. If you’re ready to help him continue to grow, and can provide the love, structure, and space he needs, Cooper will be your best buddy in no time! **Adoption Requirements:** - A secure, fenced-in backyard - Patience and experience with a playful, energetic pup - A love for quirky personalities and loyal companions Are you ready to meet Cooper and see if you’re his perfect match? Story
PWRESCUE.ORG *PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY*  Say hello to Reggie, a delightful 6-year-old, 12-pound Poodle/Bichon mix with the sweetest, most gentle personality! He thrives on companionship and absolutely loves being close to his humans. If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion, Reggie is your guy! Reggie is a sweet boy who loves attention and being with his family. However, he does experience separation anxiety, which means he shouldn't be left alone for long periods of time. He would do best in a home where someone is frequently around—this makes him a great fit for someone who works from home or is retired. To help with his anxiety, Reggie would also benefit from having another dog in the home for comfort and companionship.  He would also benefit from a secure, fenced yard to run and play in, rather than being in an apartment or townhome, as he may be a bit vocal when left alone. Reggie will need regular exercise, which helps manage his anxiety and keeps him healthy. He loves interactive playtime, which provides mental stimulation and strengthens the bond between you and him. Reggie loves to keep busy, and he’s happiest when given a “job” to do! Whether it’s a fun training session or simply keeping you company, he loves to be engaged. He’s also quite adorable when he “patti-cakes” with his paws to get your attention! With consistent patience and training, Reggie will learn to feel more secure when left alone. He’s incredibly loving and loyal, and in the right environment with the proper guidance, he will thrive.   Reggie is well-suited for a caring home that provides companionship, structure, and gentle guidance. He needs a family that will offer him the love and support he deserves. Reggie is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.  If you are looking for a companion like Reggie to add to your home, please visit our website at:  https://pwrescue.org and click on the "Adopt" button to complete an application.  His adoption fee is $350.00.  Pathways Home Animal Rescue March 1, 2025, 10:05 pm

Story
Wookie is a 12-year-old Lhasa mix who was given up because her owners could not find a place to live where they could keep her. You would never in 1 million years guess that she is 12. She acts far younger and is very puppy like. She is however, already trained and doesn’t chew or dig or bark incessantly. She does take a moment to get to know people. She’s a little bit wary at first, which is typical for a Lhasa Apso. Wookie weighs just under 13 pounds. She has just been spayed and updated on all her vaccinations as well as being microchipped. She gets along with all the other dogs here. She really is an easy dog to get along with once you have met her and she is really no trouble to take care of. She loves attention, but won’t nag you for it. She is good at being alone as well. Wookie is ready for a new home who will never give up on her. Senior dogs are always especially grateful. It seems when they get home. They seem to have more love to give, and it is definitely a rewarding and worthwhile experience. Wookie is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Wookie’s adoption fee is $225 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
