Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Houndour, an energetic pup who loves walks almost as much as he loves tummy rubs, jerky treats, and squeaky toys. Houndour is potty and crate trained. He is very affectionate, although he can also get a bit too excited once he feels comfortable. Houndour likes to resource guard things that are important to him, so he will need to go to a home without young children and without other dogs. He wants to be the only dog in his home. Story
We are running out of time and will be taking her to the San Diego Humane Society 1st week of May. Why are we re-homing Roxy: Her buddy passed away and we have no plans to home a second dog - we do not have enough time for her - she is lonely and depressed - not a good situation for her. About Roxy - She is a good dog and is 6 years old, Neutered Outside dog, no kennel - never been indoors at our place but has been indoors when she was being trained. She has a large yard to run in, but stays close to the house most of the time. She is afraid of the coyotes (we have many around here). Diet - Purina Pro Plan - we mix 1/2 can wet food in every few days. 2 dog biscuits at night as a treat every few day. It would be best if she is adapted by someone that has a larger yard.

Story
Dijon is one pup out of a litter of 10 that my dog had on accident. One of the photos he is sitting next to his mother who is the doberman mix and his father is a malinois mix. Dijon is a very loyal and sweet puppy, he is almost 4 months old now and is nearly fully potty trained. He will stand at the door when he needs to go out and loves the praise for going outside. Dijon is also very smart, he knows how to sit and lay down already and is mastering giving a paw. Dijon gives the most serious eye contact that indicates how loving and loyal he will be with his forever parents. I personally love him to death and am so proud of how he has grown since a little baby. Dijon deserves a good home that will show him the world, take him out to the park, and spoil him like he deserves. Dijon plays very well with his siblings and holds his own when playing with his mother. He loves toys and chasing around. He still is a puppy so he is learning not to bite but will get nippy when super excited.

Story
Cairo is a handsome gentleman with manners to boot. He is crate trained and house broken and not a barker in the home ( only when needed ). He has been trained on all is commands and does them very well. He would be best with someone that knows the breed and is a string handler since this handsome dog weighs 85 lbs. He loves to play with his toys and play fetch. , it would be important for him to have a nice size yard. He is good with little dogs (he grew up with one) but you would wand to always do slow introductions with other dogs. He does well in the car and at the vet and the groomer. He is a great dog overall. He has be Neutered , Vaccinated and Microchipped. If you would like the wonderful dog please contact Vicky@760-672-2258. We are a rescue so an adoption fee will apply. Please go to our website to fill out our application. http://www.k9connectionpetadoption.org Please use a computer or a laptop. No children under 16.

Story
Meet Max, Mr. Perfect! He is approximately 9 years YOUNG. He has the best manners and the sweetest disposition. You can tell he was loved as he has so much love to give. He is quiet, has little bursts of energy, and mostly just wants to be near his people and relax. He is un-phased by dogs big and small, small children and the Amazon man. He does not beg for human food, and knows commands and listens very well. He is adored by every human he’s come across and is very loved by his foster family. We cannot say enough great things about this dog. He has a lot of life in him but he is just so well balanced and a calming presence. Any person would be lucky to have him! We just love him so!

Story
How this pet arrived: Tex Mex was brought in by a community member on July 6, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Tex Mex, a shy soul who takes his time adjusting to new faces and places. In unfamiliar environments, his first instinct might be to run away, so he needs a quiet and secure home, without young children, where he can feel safe. Although Tex Mex hasn't shown his social side with us yet, he has a soft spot for bacon treats and cheese, making treats a great way to bond with him. When he's excited, he might surprise you with a burst of zoomies followed by a cozy nap (this boy loves his naps)! Tex Mex has done well with other small dogs, especially with slow and gentle introductions. Tex Mex does have some medical concerns and we would love to have you speak with one of our vets prior to adoption to set everyone up for success! If you're patient and ready to offer a loving, calm environment, Tex Mex could be the perfect addition to your family! Shy/Fearful Dog: Tex Mex requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him.Dog Reactive Dog:  Tex Mex requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Story
Staxx: 1-2 yr old brindle male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12 lb. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter. MinPin Staxx, with his Rare Brindle coloring, is a TOTAL SWEETHEART! He was SO happy to be out of the shelter and showed it with love and affection. Staxx was playing with the other dogs in his foster home from day one. He loves to play! Mr Staxx is a lover, often times he wants to be as close to you as possible. He's still a puppy and enjoys playing and he's very gentle while doing so. He enjoys walks, lots of treats, cuddles and most importantly warm blankies! Staxx is a great listener, he’s fully housebroken and extremely smart! He will be easily trainable. Staxx would really love being in a home with another dog or two. Staxx is currently in a home with cats. He does enjoy chasing them for fun, never vindictive, just curious as you can see in his video with the cat! Little Staxx loves his walkies and loves to cuddle. If you want a really good boy with nothing but sweetness, Staxx is your man!
