Story
Lulu is a playful, silly, and sweet one year old pup (she's a Christmas baby!). She is great with people, dogs, and cats! She'll keep you smiling all day long with her goofy antics and needs to be in an active home — she would make a perfect running buddy! After a good run, she likes to cuddle up next to her people or dog friends on the couch for a good snooze. She's also a huge fan of sniffy walks as well. She should have another playful dog in the home as she loves to spend her days playing with her doggie friend(s). She can't wait to have humans of her own to cuddle with and a playful doggie sibling! ##1972842##

Story
Dali came to us as a stray so we don't know much about his past, but we know his future is bright! Life in the shelter has been a bit stressful for Dali, so he is working with our behavior team to develop skills that will aid him in learning to relax and bounce back with greater resilience. He loves people and enjoys snuggling with them.Dali appreciates lots of opportunities to get outside and explore, and he'll never turn down a game of tug-o-war! Dali is a playful guy who's sure to bring lots of fun energy to his new home. While we don't know if there is an artistic side to this Dali, perhaps having a nicely framed photo of him hanging on your wall will bring out the oohs and ahhs. Come meet this handsome boy today! Story
Gucci is a male about 60 pounds and a lover not a fighter, and almost 2 years old. He is 92.7% Doberman and 7.3 Giant Schnauzer. I have his DNA test available. He is a massive cuddler and just loves people and other dogs not an aggressive bone in his body. We have had him around kids and never had a problem. He is well trained and know a hand full of tricks. Unfortunately my wife and I travel for work and when we are not able to be home with him and we have to board him and that is getting very expensive. We worked very hard to make him the great dog that he is and we hope he goes to amazing home.

Story
Beamer Overview Beamer is a 5-year-old male dog who was adopted from the rescue as a young puppy. Through no fault of his own, Beamer's living situation recently became an issue, as his family had to move to a small apartment with no room for him to play. Beamer is a big boy who is very sweet and loving when he is comfortable, but will need time to adjust to his new family and environment. Personality Beamer is described as a very sweet boy who loves his people. However, due to his size and activity level, he will do best in a home without small children and with a large, fenced yard where he can play. Beamer is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Needs As Beamer adjusts to his new home, he will require patience and time to feel safe and secure. With the right family who can provide him with plenty of love, attention, and an appropriate outlet for his energy, Beamer is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. An experienced dog owner who can give Beamer the structure and stability he needs would be the ideal match. ##1629027##

Story
Meet Chex, a 3-year-old Doberman mix who is a very sweet girl under all of her shyness. She can be easily startled by new things and sudden movements, so she thrives in a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe and secure. Do to this, Chex would do best in a home with children at least 12+ who can respect her boundaries while she adjusts. While she may need some time to adjust, once she settles in, her loving nature shines through. Chex is a gentle soul who will bring warmth and affection to the right home that understands her need for patience and tranquility. What I Need In a Home:* Kids 12+ mandatory

The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, information on history, vaccines, etc.  Meet Jerry, my foster dog anxiously looking for his forever home!  Jerry is a smart 2-year-old neutered male with medium energy and will make the perfect family member.  He does NOT pull on the leash and will effortlessly match your pace whether walking or jogging (if you so desire).  He looks to his handler for cues and wants to be a good boy!  He quickly mastered the use of a dog door to potty outside.  Because he is a hound, a fenced-in yard is a must.  He is very respectful of fences.  Jerry likes to play with kids.  Since he is still young, he does pop up on his hind legs sometimes and he lightly taps you with his paws.  We are working on that, though he is very soft in the way he does it.  He is NOT the typical "nose to the ground" type of hound and pays more attention to people than dogs.  He would love to continue with some training and being the adventurous sort, sees training as a new adventure.   Jerry is being fostered in Black Forest, CO but came from the San Antonio shelter which is quite stressful and full of many dogs.  He was picked up as a stray.  Most likely, he had irresponsible owners who did not provide a secure backyard.  As a result, the best thing for Jerry would be a home without other pets for the time being.  Previously, he got along well with other dogs while he was awaiting transport to Colorado.  He did not appreciate puppy behavior from our other foster dog; hence my suggestion for a 1-dog family for now.  I do not think an additional dog at some point would be out of the question.  He has good social manners, but the ideal situation would be a human family for the time being.  He would love to be someone's hiking partner, but he can chill out and fall asleep for hours too.    He comes when called and you can literally hold the leash with 2 fingers, as he does not pull.  He is treat motivated and takes treats gently from your hand.  When we have passed other dogs on the trail, he did not bark or growl.  He plays wonderfully with my 8-year-old daughter with a wagging tail!   He can also be picked up to be loaded in the car and or will try to jump in if it is not too high for him.  He rides well in the car and is well-behaved for the vet.  Jerry likes to be around family members and does equally well with men and women.  His vaccines and heartworm prevention are all current.  Please reach out to learn more about Jerry who is being fostered for Legends of the Paws Animal Rescue.  A donation to the rescue will be required in lieu of an adoption fee.   Thank you, Shannon 719-466-0808 Shannonhansford1@yahoo.com   November 25, 2024, 9:17 am
