Story
Meet Molly! Molly recently arrived to HAP when her previous owners were no longer able to care for her. She's our stocky, long legged beauty that's just over two years old. Miss Molly is super smart as she already knows several tricks like sit, down, and paw and walks very well on the leash. Being a younger dog, she's got lots of energy and loves to play with her toys and when she gets really excited, she gets the zoomies and it's quite a sight to see a big dog like her move as fast as she can! Molly can be a little shy when meeting new people but with some treats and some puppy talk, she's easily won over! While she hasn't made any other dog friends yet, she seems to enjoy their company alongside her during walks so may be ok with doggy friends. If you have a resident dog, we'd be more than willing to coordinate a dog meet to make sure that they'd get along! Despite her size, Molly does very well on the leash and while she does occasionally bark at smaller animals, she typically doesn't pull to go after them! Did we mention she loves treats? There's a reason this big girl has the curves she does and it's because she can never say no to a treat! So if you're looking for a big lap dog who loves affection and a big, goofy personality - Molly is your girl! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
