Forrest is a happy and energetic dog that loves to run around and be with his human. He is timid and shy at first, but being patient with him yields all the love you could ever hope for from a loyal companion. I found Forrest on the side of the road dehydrated, malnourished and riddled with worms as a ~4 month old puppy. He is ~10 months old now. Forrest is very food motivated and has had formal obedience training. Forrest will quickly warm up to whoever shows him love and gives him treats, but his personality requires activity. Forrest has been a great running partner for myself - easily running 4 miles, and would fit perfectly with anyone with an active, outdoors lifestyle.

Oakley is a two-year-old, 60-pound Doberman mix, maybe purebred without ears cropped. A shelter picked him up before Christmas with what seemed to be a leg injury. X-rays showed that it was an old injury that may not need surgery. He has an appointment with our orthopedic surgeon to see what, if anything, needs to be done, but it doesn’t seem to hinder him at all. He was lucky to find a foster and has done well with housetraining and in the crate. He is great with her other two large male dogs and very affectionate with people. Meet Red – Sweet, affectionate & loyal cuddle bug with lots of spunky puppy energy. Red is 1yr 4 months old 43 lbs Rescued Mini Doberman who enjoys the companion of adults & children 10yrs or older. Due to her high energy, she would do well with an active family with no small children. She has played with a few dogs in her foster home. Red needs another active dog in the home that can match her play style. Red’s favorite things to do are zoomies in the yard, continuous neighborhood walks/ hikes, chewing on nylabones and snoozing on the couch with family. She truly enjoys being in the presence of people for pets and scratches. Red knows simple commands such as “sit” and “stay”. Working on “off” for when she happily jumps up to greet people. She has no issues sleeping in her crate at night, but is vocal while in the crate during the day. She enjoys being near her human inside & walking alongside them outside. In her foster home, she had no potty accidents. She is treat motivated and eager to learn. Adoption fee: $300 Physical appearance: Kali is a 6-year-old, black and tan, female Doberman with natural ears and a docked tail. She is a big girl at 90 pounds. Kali was born with one eye that is smaller than the other, a condition called uveitis that has caused blindness in that eye, and she will require daily eye medication to keep her comfortable. Personality, Manners, and Training: Kali was previously adopted from GDR but was returned due to changing family circumstances. This girl is an A-class snuggler and LOVES her people. She is a wonderful family dog who does great with kids. Kali has energy and will run and play as much as you let her so she needs a real outlet for her energy. She loves playing with tennis balls and other toys. Sometimes she will bark and whine to protest not getting her way, so she won't be good for an apartment, townhome, or condo. She needs someone who won't give into her every protest or just let her do whatever she wants. She knows how to sit and wait patiently for her dinner until you tell her to eat, and she is crate trained, but she will try to convince you that she isn't. Her leash training could use some work. She gets along with other dogs, but needs a slow and careful introduction. She also gets along with cats and even rabbits. Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on Rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, spayed, and microchipped before adoption. ##127561##
