Story
Silas is a super sweet 4-5 year old Doberman Pinscher with natural ears. He was found as a stray and very underweight (66 pounds). He knows some basic commands and is very food motivated! He has been introduced to one dog with a fence in between and one on walks. He appears to want to play. He appears to get over-excited with small dogs and would be too much for them. With leash walking he is still learning not to pull. He is learning not to jump up and forward when greeting people. He is very loving to older children (over 13 years old). He is housebroken and crate trained. Silas must have a fenced-in yard, NO cats, small furries, or small dogs. Story
DP Declan  came to us from a kill shelter in Indiana where he ended up by no fault of his own. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet & happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 07/04/23 and he currently weighs 76#. He knows how to sit & shake on command. He loves to play ball and he is reported as house trained. This  dog will not be adopted out for protection  or with small children. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is also heart worm negative. His adoption donation is $400 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##2135680##

Story
Meet our beautiful Girl, Clover!!! Clover is a three-year-old Doberman Pinscher that recently came into our care. If there is one thing you should know about clover it is that she loves to twirl. Anytime she is excited or feels strongly about something be prepared to see her spin, she may throw in a play bow or two just to keep you entertained. Clover's favorite toys are the ones that make her think and use her nose. toys like Kong's with natural peanut butter, snuffle mats, collagen chews, and treat dispensing toys are her favorite. Clover came from a background of neglect and demonstrates a constant level of anxiety. Clover is one of our special care animals due to her having repetitive behaviors when aroused by intense emotions- meaning that when she is feeling strong emotions like fear, startle, anxiety, or excitement. She is currently in a home with an amazing foster that is already starting to work on her training. She has been reported to be doing great and picking up behavioral medication will decrease Clover's stress and allow her to learn new positive life experiences. Clover has been reported to be picking up on her training very quickly. She has been working on crate training, basic commands, potty training, and socialization. If you are interested in adopting clover fill out one of applications online and an adoption counselor will connect with you to go over more of her Information and connect you with clovers foster so you can meet her.

Story
Zoe is a happy, affectionate, sweet and beautiful, nine-year-old, 75-pound, purebred female Doberman Pinscher with natural ears and a cropped tail looking for a loving guardian. Zoe will turn ten years old on September 28th. Zoe is an outgoing girl. She gets along with other medium to large dogs (although she can be barky when she sees other dogs across the street). When I walk her in my neighborhood, I’m surprised at how many people come over to pet her. She exudes kindness and a gentle nature. She also has a strong prey drive and can sniff out bunnies, rats, and squirrels everywhere she goes! Zoe would really love a home with a fenced in yard. She loves digging and hunting. She loves her leashed walks as well but can at times be stubborn and strong. She is housebroken and well-mannered in the home. She loves to curl up on the couch or in bed with her humans. She has lived as an indoor, much-loved and pampered dog all her life. She is healthy, spayed, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, leptospirosis, and bordetella, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. Her adoption fee of $175 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Zoe, please fill in an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting friendsofpetraits@gmail.com to make an appointment to meet her. She is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
