Story
Melanie was rescued along with her 3 pups from a woman who found her living in a drainage ditch. She is a young adult who loves to run and play. Melanie is great with people and gets along with other dogs with proper introduction. She's best friends with the other girl pups living in her foster home. Toys are top on her list and there can never be enough of them! Melanie is kennel and leash trained. She is a beautiful, big and strong girl. A high fence is necessary because this girl can jump! Melanie will make an excellent pet and companion. Ideal home: She would do great in a home with dogs of medium or large size because Melanie can get a little rough playing with other dogs. Melanie doesn't realize that she's a big girl.
This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)

Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
