Story
RyderMaleAge: 10 monthsWeight: 55 lbsBreed: Rottweiler/Hound mix Hi! I’m Ryder. I am a very handsome showstopper of a dog who gets along great with other dogs and kids and the one interaction I had with a cat went ok too. I am house trained and crate trained and am doing well working on my leash training. My favorite toys are ones that I can chew on and I am pretty motivated by treats (rawhides and bones especially). My foster mom says I am super smart and I am learning my commands so quickly. I love to play – all the time with my foster dog siblings and I really like to be outside in my backyard. Since I am young, I will need a family who understands I need an outlet for my puppy energy. When I am not playing, I like to cuddle. I cannot wait to find a family all my own who will continue working with me as I grow and learn and who will provide me all the love I deserve! If you are interested in meeting this loving, playful and smart guy apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5 years old or older.  ##2127992##

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Columbus, Akron, or Cincinnati Ohio. Rooster resides with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please email kathy@houstonshaggydogrescue.org if you are interested in adopting this good boy. You may also find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/houstonshaggydogrescue

Story
Houston is a 7.5 year old Doberman whose parents were both AKC registered. He found himself without a home when his human parents split up and is being fostered by friends. Houston is a big boy (almost 100 pounds), but super gentle. He walks great on a leash, does well in crowds, gets along with other dogs and does great around kids. Houston doesn't understand cats and should not share a home with them. This sweet boy needs a furever home. He has had a fenced yard in the past, but would most likely do well with active adults who would walk him regularly. He is not yet neutered but we will cover the cost at our vet. Houston's adoption fee is $200. If you'd like to meet him, you can apply at ricopetrecovery.org.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › This sweet, loving boy is waiting patiently for his new home. He is ready to meet his family and have them teach him all it means to be a good boy. He has done very well learning his basic commands in the DASH Prison Training Program. He is practicing not jumping on people when he gets excited but he loves people so much, he just can't help himself. He loves attention! Bronco would love to be part of an active family. But he also loves to curl up on the couch with you and gets along with other dogs and cats. He has been around older kids, but not young kid tested.  He does well in crowds, is social and would do well in a home with another dog but is still working on learning to share his food.  His favorite thing to do is run down a good tennis ball.   Don't miss out on much more of this boy's growing time. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Ryder! This sweet baby girl's job is to bring a smile to everyone she meets. She loves life and her attitude is contagious! She is enrolled in our DASH Prison Training Program where she is learning her puppy manners and basic good girl commands to get a head start on the training she will get in her new home. She has been working on basics like sit, stay down, and has also learned to walk on leash, doesn't complain in her crate and is house broken. Of course, she will need a little patience and guidance while she acclimates to her new home environment. Her handler is already completely smitten, saying his favorite thing is how she hops around and loves to play. She loves to play with all the other dogs (and likes to vocalize when playing), loves her toys and especially loves all people. She also loves to cuddle when the time comes to settle in, so she is well on her way to being the perfect pup! She has not yet been kid or cat tested so proper intros are in line. If you'd like to meet her, Apply today, she's ready to meet you!! Odin is a sweet cuddly boy. He is 14 months old,and has tons of energy. Regular exercise is required, as Dobermans are smart, active dogs. Very athletic. He needs a new home because of a badly broken leg. My leg, not his...lol He comes with an extra large crate, leashes, collars, toys etc.
