Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.mixed breed | UTD | neutered | fostered in Barrie, ON  Lazarus started this life very under-socialized - contained in a basement with his siblings and parents. Coming into rescue has been so scary for him - Laz will need an adopter who understands this and is willing to work with him through his feelings and help him with consistency, routine and training  Dog friendly &#226&#156&#133 Laz has been exposed to dogs of many sizes from 10lbs to 100lbs, and multiple personalities. He requires calm introductions but he quickly loves other dogs and loves to play.  Cats &#226&#157&#140 He's been exposed to cats and does chase them. Older kids only &#226&#157&#140 He is not a fan of young children. When on a walk if he hears or sees them even at a distance he reacts and can be hard to redirect. He does react with fear to all humans but settles quicker to women. His foster mom is working hard on socialization  House trained he goes outside often and he goes and sits by the door when he needs to go out but he does still have some accidents  He is good on leash and loves to go for walks, but is a puller and reacts to strangers and is very interested in birds and squirrels. Crate trained &#226&#156&#133 while his foster mom works during the day Laz is crated. At night he sleeps in bed with his foster mom and other foster siblings.  Car rides &#226&#156&#133 He is improving in the car with some practice - he does require a little coaxing to go in.  Laz is a chewer so tough chew toys are a must, he also likes toys that squeak and will quickly dissect stuffies - thankfully he’s not known to ingest the stuffy guts. He loves tug of war especially if it’s with a doggy friend and chasing balls.  He has not showed any toy or food guarding and waits his turn for his treats. He will go and sit in his crate at meal time and waits till he gets the "ok" to eat. He does eat quickly and currently has a slow feeder. He is a high energy dog and loves to play. He is very smart and does learn quickly but is also a little stubborn. When its rest time he is a snuggler and likes to give kisses, attempts to be a lap dog but will settle glued to your hip.  All adopters are offered complimentary training with our certified and accredited trainer Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 22, 2025, 1:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Otis’ foster mom had this to say about him: “The most amazing snuggler!! He’s a great companion! Loves to play but also loves to sleep. Protects his people and is loyal to his family. Just wants to please his owners and will do tricks simply for praise and belly rubs! He likes to try and melt into your arms and snuggle as close to you as he can! If we didn’t have 2 dogs already Otis wouldn’t be going anywhere. He is a dream dog and with a little patience will be your best friend forever.” &#226&#156&#133 Dog friendly  &#226&#156&#133 Cat friendly  &#226&#156&#133 reptile friendly   Otis has good communication skills with other dogs. He does not react to the small and quick reptiles in his foster home He is not a fan of small children and their quick movements! Would prefer older and more considerate and dog savvy kids. Still a puppy so runs FAST and still getting used to those long limbs He is very wary of strangers but takes about 5 minutes to warm up. He is better if the introduction is done sitting as he doesn’t love people standing over him. He is wary of men and prefers women (makes sense as his rescuers were two women )  Any prospective family will need to continue his training and slow introductions. Otis had a very scary beginning and will require his family to stay on top of his training and structure and routine  Crate and house trained &#226&#156&#133 and knows the following commands:  He knows his name, come, sit, wait, knows lay down, down(get off or down), and leave it  Almost entirely leash trained! He does well when focused on his handler, he still pulls occasionally but he is walked with another dog and it’s not hard to manage. He will bark at other dogs if not kept in line!  Otis currently sleeps in a crate but he would LOVE to cuddle up to his family in bed or will accept some snuggles on the couch  When left alone Otis stays in the crate, he is very smart and has escaped if left unsecured!  Otis is not a fan of the car and gets car sick  Otis LOVES his bones Otis has exhibited no resource guarding behaviour including with his toys, food or treats  Otis is high energy with an off switch. If you want to play fetch in the yard or just cuddle he is ready for either  Visit our website to apply https://www.hankshaven.ca/info/adoption  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 16, 2025, 1:41 pm

Hello there, I'm Zeus! My days are filled with boundless energy, and I love to play. I'm always up for a game of fetch or a good puzzle toy. I'm as sweet as they come, and I've never met a person I didn't like. I've got a lot of love to give, and I'm just looking for the right person to share it with. I do best in a home where I can be the only dog, so I can soak up all the attention. I promise to fill your life with joy and companionship. Won't you consider making me part of your family?
