Story
In order to avoid Roo from going to a kill shelter, we took him in from another foster who found him dumped in East Austin. We drove Roo to a humane dog trainer on a 20+ acre ranch to become acclimated to children, cats, dogs, and horses, which is where he is now while awaiting his forever home. He was born in 12/2023. He is a Velcro dog and loves to follow you and be near you and snuggle on the couch. He loves to run outside and play tug and fetch a ball or frisbee. He now already knows: loose leash walking, wait, touch, down, recall, sit He has received training for polite greetings, impulse control, confidence building, and confinement—he is able to be confined but prefers a gated space over a crate. Roo needs a forever home who will give him the time, daily activity, and love he deserves in a safe setting with a yard. Whomever is lucky to have Roo will be vetted carefully but will receive 3 free virtual dog training lessons to help the new owner and Roo with the transition.

My name is Landon and I'm here looking for a home, a family, one to call my very own. And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that it means you might consider making me a part of yours!! I'm a youngster yet of around 11 months and am very loving, affectionate and ready for playtime. I love to be on the go exploring this big ole world and would do best with an active family that would want to include me in their activities and adventures, anything from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting. I come in at about 45ish lbs. A pawsomely perfect medium size for those long walks, nature hikes, camping trips and of course those belly rubs I absolutely adore getting. I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! Oh and guess what?! I'm already house trained! We can get right to the fun stuff...right away!! And....I'm learning some basic commands. I haven't had too much learning yet in my life, but I'm picking up new things very quickly. I already walk really well on or off the leash and know how to 'sit' and I am eager to learn so much more! I also love riding in the truck here at the rescue and will load right up to go see the sights!! I'm a very gentle soul that does pawsome with people both tall and small and I'm also great with the other doggies! I would make a great playmate to either a 2 or 4 legged 'sibling' or a terrific sidekick as your one and only! I haven't had the pleasure meeting any of those strange creatures y'all call a cat yet. I am so looking forward to being your FBF (furry best friend), your constant in this world, your heart beat at your feet!!
