Story
Leia’s dad is a Doberman and her mama is a pitbull. She acts like her mama though if you’re looking for something sweet and sassy but loyal nonetheless. She will be 2 years young in June. We’re looking for someone who loves dogs and has time for her. Ideally someone with other dogs or someone who is involved with play dates because she can be high energy at times. She also loves cuddles!

Story
Duchess was in a small, high kill shelter when we came across her information. Her eyes were so infected she couldn’t open them and the shelter had posted her as being blind. Our vet discovered that Duchess doesn’t produce tears and the chronic dry eye had been untreated so long her corneas were damaged and infected. This sweet girl was so shut down initially she had to remember what a special dog she is. We are trying our best to save her eyes, she gets 2 types of medicated drops twice a day and artificial tears as often as possible. She’s learned to let her foster clean her eyes and is good about getting her drops. She’s able to see now although not as well as we hope she can as we progress. She will need eye drops ongoing. Duchess now plays with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running around her yard. Her very favorite thing is getting attention and spending time with her humans. She just wants to totally devote herself to her human and take care of her family. This girl is a wonderful Doberman and an ambassador for the breed. She is house trained, can use a doggie door or ask to go outside if she doesn't have one. She is fine being left home alone or with her canine friends but would rather go wherever her human is going. She’s great going for rides and would be the perfect travel companion. Duchess is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Story
DOB: 8/1/23 Weight: approx. 65 lbs Ash is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He's looking for an active family that has lots of time to spend with him. He loves being right by his people's side and is as affectionate as they come. Ash is house and crate trained, and loves having plenty of things to chew on to keep him occupied. He has separation anxiety and wouldn't thrive in a home where his people are gone all day.  He's still young and learning his size, so Ash shouldn't be in a home with small children as he tends to get too excited and can knock them over.  If you're interested in meeting Ash, please apply online and we'll be in touch. Fee is $275 https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
We got Zena from an animal shelter when she was about four months old. She is now 11 as of 11/20/24. She needs a place that is peaceful with either no kids or older kids. She still likes to play and explore but is used to just chilling around the house. If she's allowed to snuggle with her owners she love lying on the couch or bed next to you. She very attentive and can be protective of her home environment. Great with people out of the house or at boarding facilities.
