Buddy is an older gentleman with a whole lot of love left to give. After losing his owner, this sweet boy found himself at the shelter—and we’d love nothing more than to help him find a cozy forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love. Buddy is affectionate, friendly, and a little rambunctious at heart! He absolutely loves being with his people and would happily tag along wherever you go. He enjoys nice walks, car rides (especially from the front passenger seat) , plenty of affection, and even a good stuffie to cuddle with. Just be warned—Buddy can get a little possessive of his favorite toys. This handsome guy is house-trained once he settles into a routine and has done well being left uncrated for a few hours at a time. He knows come and no and responds to some recall. He’s also comfortable with handling and has been friendly with both men, women, and other dogs. Buddy does have a couple of things his future family should know. He may grumble if someone messes with his food, so he’ll need a home that can respect his boundaries around mealtime. Because of this, we think he’d be happiest in a home without young children. He also enjoys chasing small animals, so a home without small pets would be best. Most of all, Buddy is looking for someone who will appreciate an older dog’s special kind of love—the kind that just wants to be by your side. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion to share your walks, car rides, and couch time with, Buddy may just be your guy.

Blancho (A143235) is a 2 year old Pit Bull/Alaskan Husky mix that weighed 40lbs at intake!08/28/26 Blancho and her 5 puppies were surrendered to the shelter due to the prior owner being unable to keep her safely restrained. Unfortunately, there was very limited information given about Blancho and her puppies, but everyone has been very social and friendly towards the care staff. Blancho may not have any experience walking on a leash and will need patience and time to work on her manners and obedience skills. Due to her history of trying to escape it is important that her new owners keep her safely restrained. Blancho appears to do well with other dogs, but her experience with children or other pets is unknown. Ace (A140774) is an 8-month-old AK Malamute x GSD mix who weighed over 60 pounds on intake!08/22/26 Mister Ace arrived back at the shelter as a stray, and we could not reach his most recent owner. So now he is now looking for his new forever home! Ace has been an absolute goofball at the shelter! He has done well with keeping his kennel clean while at the shelter. We do not know anymore recent history, so please continue reading for more information! If you think Ace is the dog for you, please give us a call!05/18/26 Ace is back at the shelter because his owner felt they did not have the time to devote to them after recently having twins. He is a high energy puppy looking for his new family to love! He was described as having a `happy` personality and definitely enjoyed greeting the staff! His owner noted that he is kennel-trained, housebroken, and has been working on his basic commands. He has the puppy wiggles and is looking for a home that will be able to continue working on his training! Ace was said to have met a few other dogs and tends to be interested in saying hi unless they bark at him. He has no history with cats. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends. If you are interested in meeting Ace, please let us know!02/02/26 These adorable pups were surrendered to the shelter in hopes of finding their new places to call home! An embark test showed he is predominantly an AK Malamute x GSD. Puppies are a lot of work but worth the reward if you have the time to devote to them. They have been working on potty training, but will need continued help in their new home. As they grow, they will also need help with kennel training, basic commands, and continued positive socialization. They have had a great start in foster and have been socialized with kiddos! These pups are teething and should be provided with appropriate toys, so they do not chew on you! Frozen kongs can be a great tool!
