Story
Chena (A131361) is a 1-year-old lab mix who weighed just over 80lbs at intake!07/06/24 This chunky, sweet girl is Chena! Chena, previously known as Tina, was brought back to the shelter because her previous owner had to move and was not able to bring her along. Chena was said to be housebroken and kennel trained, and was described as being a friendly girl who gets along with kids, strangers and adults! She has been known to get into the trash if given the chance and to occasionally jump on people. Chena knows some basic commands, such as sit, shake, roll over and lay down. She was said to mind generally well and to be gentle when playing. Chena has been known to dig and chew, so make sure she has plenty of enrichment and appropriate chew toys available! Chew toys designed for `power chewers` are highly recommended for Miss Chena, as she LOVES to chew! Chena was said to get along with other dogs, but she does not have experience with other animals. If you are interested in meeting Miss chena, please give us a call!06/06/23 These three sweet girls are looking to find a new place to call home! A friendly reminder that puppies are a lot of work and a big-time commitment. These littles are going to need help with potty training, basic commands, kennel training, positive socialization and so much more! Little miss Perm has a longer coat and her prior owner wanted to stress that she will need continued grooming/brushing as she ages. Out of this trio Carol was known to be a bit more reserved; however, all three are wonderful girls! If you are ready to add a fuzzy new addition to your family, please give the shelter a call!July 7, 2024, 12:27 am

Story
Parker (A134997) is a 4-year-old Akita x GSD mix who weighed 43.2 pounds on intake!06/24/24 This intelligent boy is Parker! Parker was surrendered to the shelter with his doggy friend Sarafina because their owner could no longer care for them. Parker was said to be dog-selective and should be slowly and carefully introduced to other dogs if introductions are made. Parker has no history with smaller critters and children. He was a little unsure of staff initially on arrival but quickly warmed up! We encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer so that he can continue working on his manners and build confidence. Parker was said to be kennel-trained and housebroken (will whine when he needs to go out). He was also said to know the command shake! If you are interested in meeting Parker, please let us know!
