Mali (A142866) is a 5-month-old GSD x Husky mix who weighed just over 20-pounds on intake! 08/31/26 Mail previously known as Bunyip has found her self back at the shelter due to not being a good fit with the other dogs in the home. She was stated to be a smart girl who is taking to learning basic commands well. She was said to do well with all people. Her previous owners said she was not getting along with the other dogs in the home. Please make sure you are doing slow and controlled introductions with any other animals in the home to set everyone up for success. She was also stated to have a high prey drive and should not go to a home with pocket pets. She was stated to be a super chewer! Making sure you are providing her with proper toys to chew on is important. Their mom was stated to be a German Shepherd, and their dad was said to be a husky. These pups were stated to be well socialized and very affectionate. They grew up in a home with children, dogs, cats, and chickens, and were said to do well with all! With their age and breed mix they are energetic and vocal. They are looking for homes that understand the work involved in raising a puppy. As they grow, they will need continued help with potty training, kennel training, basic commands, and continued socialization. They were said to have been working on getting used to the kennel. They will also need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. As they teeth, providing them with appropriate chew toys is also important! Winston (A142295) is a 1-year-and-6-month-old Chow Chow x AK Husky who weighed just over 65 pounds on intake! 07/18/26 Winston previously known as Cornelius is back at the shelter after a short adoption because the other dog in the home did not appreciate how energetic and playful he was. He was said to be house broken. He was also said to do well with any person he met including kids. He was said to enjoy playing with other dogs and may do well with another dog in the home that matches his high energy style. He was stated to be a very friendly and outgoing dog that loves meeting new people. If you are interested in meeting Winston, please let us know!06/01/26 This rambunctious boy is Cornelius! Cornelius arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for his new place to call home. His finder did note that he was the neighborhood mascot and was frequently found running at large. He is looking for an owner who can keep him contained. Providing him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation is important to keeping him healthy and happy! When overstimulated, Cornelius can become a little mouthy but providing him with a toy can do wonders! We encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer. We do not know if he has any obedience training or if he is housebroken. He has done decent at keeping his kennel clean, but has found that Cornelius will shred blankets if left unattended. Boyo is a very high energy dog. He needs a job or a marathon runner. I strongly recommend that you have experience training dogs. He listens very well but struggles to maintain composure around other dogs. He is a very good dog for someone who likes adventures and camping. I can't stress enough that he really needs an active owner who has the time to give him the attention that he needs and deserves.

She was rescued from the pound in Nov 2025. She is hilarious, sweet and gentle, potty trained, does well on leash, and knows a few tricks. She loves her people, and has separation anxiety that I unfortunately don’t have enough time to manage. I am a young, first time dog owner, full time employee, and full time student. I’ve tried everything from training to medication, but I just don’t have the time that she deserves. She would thrive in a home with land where she can run around, and also have plenty of exercise. It would also be ideal to have an experienced owner who can work with her and her anxiety.

Regina (A116051) is a 7-year-old lab mix who weighed nearly 90 lbs at intake!08/29/26 These outgoing doggos are Regina and Farkus! These two were surrendered to the shelter due to their previous owners moving out of the country and believing they would not do well with the move. Regina has been known to get car sick, so long travel days are not ideal for her. Farkus can get very anxious when alone, so the mandatory quarantine period in the new country would be hard on him. Both Regina and Farkus were desribed as being outgoing, friendly and affectionate. They were said to do well with humans of all ages, as well as other dogs, cats and even chickens! They were said to be kennel trained and housebroken and to know some basic commands, such as sit, speak, night night and lay down. They were both said to be gentle when playing. We are not requiring that Farkus and Regina be adopted together, but if you are in the market for a goofy, perpetually positive pair, give us a call!
