Meet Dolly, aka Fleur de Lis! My story didn’t start out very pretty. I was found wandering the streets with a bad case of mange, but thankfully, a wonderful savior reached out to the rescue, and I got my second chance! My foster family gave me special baths, medicine, and lots of love, and now I’m feeling fabulous and ready for my forever home! A few things you should know about me: I LOVE other dogs and enjoy cuddling up with my furry friends. I’m great with kids (my youngest human friends are 4), and I’m such a good sport that I even let them play dress-up with me! I’m a playful girl who wants to be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your very own lap dog. I’m still working on a few puppy manners, like keeping all four paws on the floor and learning which toys belong to me, but I promise I’m worth the effort! I’m a beautiful Pittie mix with one gorgeous blue eye. Maybe I have a little Aussie or Husky in my family tree… or perhaps a bit of both! Who knows? Introducing Lulu! Saved from a kill shelter, Lulu had a difficult time but now is ready to let the past be the past. She is now in a loving foster home in Massachusetts and couldn't be happier as she waits for HER family. Lulu's foster Mom has had her for a short while now and has lots to say about this beauty!Lulu is an absolute sweetheart. She is cautious with new people but warms up within a couple minutes. She’s tall and a bit clumsy so I don’t know how she would be with small children. She’s great with my dog Ellie but wants ALL the attention. She pushes Ellie out of the way every time you give her any attention. She grabs toys away from her so she would need to be with another dog that is ok with that. Lulu knows to go outside to go to the bathroom and will even sit in front of the door, although sometimes I think it’s to go outside to chase the bunnies and squirrels that are in the yard. Lulu's very good in the house when I go to work. I have a dog sitter come in the middle of the day to let them out and she agrees that Lulu is a good dog. She does pull on a leash but I think with some training she will be just fine. Lulu doesn’t realize her size and wants to sit on your lap. She’s very much a Velcro dog. She just wants to be with her people. She’s very affectionate and absolutely beautiful!! Her coat is so shiny and soft! Lulu likes her dog bed and sleeps every night in one. It didn’t take her long to get comfortable in my home. Lulu has learned the routine quickly. How adorable is baby Posey? We think she's just the cutest little pumpkin in the pumpkin patch and we are all cheering for her to find her forevers. She's about 12 weeks old. She loves to play with her puppy siblings and she loves her toys. She'll be a perfect addition to any loving home. Apply to adopt this little pumpkin at www.cprdogs.com. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.
