Over a year old, the pretty black and white pooch is sweet and friendly. She likes treats, walks, and cuddles. She's a busy miss looking for equally active adopters who can take her on lots of fun, energy burning adventures. She's got a lot to learn but already knows how to win your heart. She is definitely Worth It!

We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.

Story
My name is Bruin and I am a very nice, easy going, Chocolate Lab and I turn 3 years old the end of December of 2024.  I am 65 pounds and I used to live with a family that raised me from a puppy.  Seems that along the way one of the young children that I grew up, suddenly developed allergies to me and so they received help from Critter Cavalry Rescue to rehome me.  I am living with a wonderful foster mom named Dallis and she has another dog and we have so much fun together.   I love to ride in cars and I would really have a blast if you had a fenced yard so I could run off leash and chase a ball or just hang out.  I know that Critter Cavalry Rescue can find a great home for me.  I get along with everyone and all the dogs that I meet.  If I meet a cat I probably will be their friend too….if they are nice to me.   I am what you call a “ladies’ man” and I love the attention from them.  Kids are great in my life if you have those too.  Please email at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to ask for an application and be sure to tell Critter Cavalry Rescue where you live, city and state.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 6, 2024, 10:59 pm

Story
Welcome to our introduction to the world of a happy and goofy Labradoodle boy called Remington.   A sweet 68 pound boy that is 2 years old in the month of July and the best natured boy ever.  His young family thought having a Doodle as the second dog in the family would be great until they had a baby and another on the way soon and the young mother couldn’t handle all the layers of responsibility.  Remington was not neutered either and that caused him to be quite full of himself.  He is such a good dog and more Poodle in every way than Lab.  His fur is exactly like that of a Standard Poodle with the tight curls and low if any shedding.  He has been around a baby and young children and he is great with other dogs.  Cats are not safe with him since he will chase and perhaps we should also say that he would be too much for a small dog in the family as well.  He needs to play with dogs more his size and not anything under 20 pounds.  He is housebroken and has spent much of his life during the day outside. He is pretty good on a leash and he is ready to be a sponge to absorb all that you can teach him.  He rides like a champ in the car even for long rides.  He is not high anxiety or any other emotional challenges that some dogs have.  He is pretty much a great candidate for bigger things to learn and do in his life.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 6, 2024, 10:59 pm

Story
There are German Shepherds offered every day in the rescue world.  This boy named Buck is one of the truly “special” ones.  He was found as a stray in East Tennessee and taken to a nice Humane Shelter in Sullivan County.  He was a big yet unweight 92 pound boy who left quite an impression on people who came to visit the shelter.  Soon he left the shelter and went home with someone.  One week later they brought him back.  This 18 month old boy had a little bit of anxiety and the woman just could not handle that even for a few weeks of allowing him to settle in to this new home.  He was great with her other Shepherd but he had separation anxiety when she left.  Honestly, all Shepherds have a touch of anxiety in their protective traits that God made them to be.  They are vigilante and concerned for their humans that they want to love and protect.  Back to the shelter Buck came. He was fine in his kennel run. And soon Critter Cavalry Rescue had found a very “special” foster couple who know the breed very well and know how to work with polishing the kinks out of them.  Now this boy is in the hands of skilled and loving fosters.  He is shining faster and brighter than we ever dreamed.  He walks like he has been leashed trained and in school to learn.  He heels like he has been doing it all his short life.  Maybe he did at one time, but we do not know.  We have discovered that he is extremely smarter than most Shepherd that this couple have encountered in their ownership days or even fostering in the past.  Buck is exceptional and they are bringing out every nugget of gold that this boy has in his soul.  He is needing to be a 100 pound dog and is not far off.  He has good breeding in him and his intellect and embrace all that is being taught to him is indeed exciting to see unfold.  He has great things in his future and we are looking for that great family or person or couple to adopt him.   We do request that the adopter have a deep and impressive knowledge of the German Shepherd breed and skills for training and reinforcing a daily routine.  We are looking for a strong commitment to Buck as we know he will be committed to a forever family if he has the chance. He is housebroken and learning the bell method to alert when wanting to go out for bathroom breaks. His foster family is ready to speak in depth about how extraordinary this boy is.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and mention where you life; city and state. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 6, 2024, 10:59 pm

Story
Meet Winston Blue Eyes, our little darling little southern gentleman who is  6-7 years old, 10 pounds, and what we believe to be a Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix. His story before coming to the rescue group, was that he is one of 9 dogs pulled from a hoarding situation. The dogs were kept outside, totally matted, full of fleas/ticks, and starving for everything from good to just a little attention. Winston Blue Eyes  was not pulled for long from the hoarding situation for long before we found a very attentive foster home to take him and work with him.  He needed manners taught, and Winston had to be partially shaved because of all his matts.  As you can see firsthand,  he is still an adorable little guy with the most wonderful blue eyes and clipped by the groomer to look like a little lion with his mane!  Winston is shy when you first when you first meet him and it is very understandable considering his situation in the hoarding case.  He is such a sweetie and he blossoms when he gets to know you and then the kisses and snuggles start. He also loves to explore outside in a clean and nicely mowed backyard.  He is not totally housebroken which is so understandable considering the horrible conditions he moved from.  He does get along well with his foster sisters and all his vetting is done with his neuter, vaccines, heartworm checked (negative), put on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, de-wormed, and microchipped.  He is going to be someone’s prize companion. If you want more info on Winston, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com for an adoption form.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 6, 2024, 10:59 pm
