Story
Meet Marvin Marvin is a sweet little smooth-coat Brussels Griffon who is ready to discover all the good things life has to offer. Marvin was born in November 2018 and weighs 14 pounds. Marvin came to Fur Fun Rescue from a breeder/hoarder situation where he had not been outside in years. You would never know it now. Marvin absolutely loves being outside and is happy to spend time exploring and taking in all the sights and smells of the great outdoors. One of the first things Marvin remembered when he got to his foster home was that he was housetrained. It didn't take him long to figure out that going outside to do his business was the way things work in a real home. He has done very well with his housetraining. Marvin will navigate a couple of stairs, but a full flight is not something he wants to tackle regularly. A home without lots of stairs would be ideal for this little guy. Marvin does well with dogs his own size and enjoys having canine company around him. A friendly small dog could be a nice companion for him. What Marvin really loves, though, is attention. If you want to pet him, he's always ready. He is also what we affectionately call a Velcro dog. If you get up and move, Marvin is probably going with you. Head to the kitchen? He's coming. Move to the living room? He's right behind you. Go outside? Guess who's following! After spending years with very little freedom, Marvin seems to have decided that being with his person is one of the best things about his new life. He is looking for someone who will appreciate having a little shadow by their side and who will enjoy giving him the love and companionship he has been missing. Marvin is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. He also just had a dental cleaning. Apply to meet Marvin at www.furfunrescue.org Questions? Reach out to rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657 for more info. Adopters must be within a two-hour drive of Cedar Rapids, IA. Marvin is looking for an indoor home. Adoption fee is $300.
