We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. Then, they will set an appointment with you to come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take Rover (or Spot, or Jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). She turns six January 6th 2027. I got her when she was 3 weeks old, and had her for almost 6 years. She is very sweet, loving, energetic and playful. She eats 2 scoops of hard food a day. She loves going on walks and being outside. She loves a lot of attention, and is clingy. She is territorial and protective over her owners. I have a cat but it took her a long time to adjust to my cat. She whines a lot for attention sometimes. She is really good with guests, she barks at first but is fine once she sniffs them. The only way she can go on walks is to use a prong collar, she pulls too much without it. I personally can’t take care of her anymore, and i think she deserves a home where someone can give her everything she needs. She gets super jealous of other dogs in her home, but is good with them at a dog park
