Story
Katrina has arrived here at HSWC resort lodge for a little R&R. She selected this resort because of the diverse climate and variety of activities offered here. She has been taking advantage of the outdoor cabins, getting in touch with nature and grounding herself. She has found the amenities to be delightful. The volunteers are meeting all her needs, exercise, treats, great bonding with friends. Katrina is not reactive to any of the other attendees. However, the outdoor cats have drawn her attention and she is showing that although she is here chillaxing, she will go from chill to chase very quickly. She is more well mannered with the indoor resort cats, and will respond to correction more easily. Inside cats hissing will cause her to back up and then she will continue on her way ok. Outside is another story. No barrier is too small for her to try to squeeze into to continue the chase. Redirecting her attention outside is very challenging.Beyond all of that Katrina is a delightful walker. She enjoys taking in all the sights: Watching all the participants goof around the splash zone. Greeting the other walkers with pleasant manners. She loves being outdoors. Once her activities conclude she is happy to recline in her indoor bungalow directly across from her new crush Ridgely. Also crushing on one of the other long fur breeds Kanook. She gets a little swagger going when she prances by his door.Come and visit this charming lady while she is still in vaca mode here at HSWC. ✅🏠 housetrained.✅👍🐕‍🦺✅👍👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🐈❓ might depend on the cat and the training. If Katrina is agreeable to adopting you after her vaca, it would be best if all cats that live inside are separated until the ground rules can be established. Training her to "leave it" would be in the best interest of the cat. Keeping leash on inside will also help correct any chase or lunging behavior. If separation is not possible then perhaps Katrina should reside in a cat free zone. She will be selecting her new roommates soon, she has a great deal of companionship to offer and has a gentle spirit. Please turn in your apps for her interview if you want this wonderful friend as a permanent member of your family. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Kash is 5yo, weighs approximately 70lbs, is intact, is not up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Kash's guardian adds:  "Kash gets jealous if you give another dog attention first.  He really is a great dog.  My daughter had gotten him when he was a puppy, right when she had her son so they would grow together.  My one grandson had brain cancer Kash stayed right with him.  He was always with one of the kids.  My daughter and her babies father would fight a lot, my daughter is a yeller, Kash doesn't like that.  Kash dislikes/fears yelling and screaming; he knows basic commands; he freely roams the house during the day and sleeps in a bed or wherever he wants at night; he loves car rides."   Kash's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  "The owner, my daughter has been homeless for a year.  We have been trying to keep him in the family.  He shows jealousy around other dogs." Bite Incident:  Kash was playing with his canine sibling, got too rough, and accidentally bit the ear, which was some time ago.  The bite broke the skin, medical attention was not required; animal control was not involved.  Kash's guardian states the following regarding children:  Since Kash has lived with children (ages newborn, 2, 3, 11, and 12), her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Watches the children and plays with them". Kash's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Kash lives with another dog, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating "Very jealous of other dogs". Kash's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Since Kash has lived with and otherwise been around cats, his guardian recommends his living with cats, stating "Loving". Kash's guardian describes him as: Very active Playful Friendly Nervous Protective House-trained Leash-trained Indoor pet Likes men Likes women Kash's guardian describes his ideal future home:  Kash would benefit from having a fenced-in yard 'so he can run energy off', but is not required. I'm a young one, still learning the ropes of life. I get along well with other dogs (fostered with a large male and small/medium female dog) and cats too. I do extremely well on a leash and I'm the friendliest boy who wants to say hi to everyone, both two and four legged on walks. I would love a dog around my age that I can romp around with and to be my best pal.  As awesome as I am, I have so quirks and am still figuring out this big world. I do not want to be picked up or grabbed by my collar suddenly. Because of this, I need a home without young kids and humans who will respect my boundaries and let me warm up at my own pace. My foster mom is happy to tell you more  :)  Overall I'm a happy, chipper perfect sized pup who wants a family to love me with my imperfections and who can work with me to establish trust. My dream is to find a forever home where I can be loved and cherished. I promise to be your loyal companion, bringing joy and laughter to your days. Adopt me and let's embark on an amazing journey together!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Bella is the prettiest little girl pug you will ever come across. She is loving and like to play, just as any young girl you know she is expressive and loves attention. The way welcomes you home will melt your heart. She lets you know she missed you in a such an adorable dance and wiggle every time you return home. Though she's full of energy, she's not much of a walker. She would much rather take the time to smell every rose and tree during her walks. For her its the quality of the walk and not the quantity. She is super friendly with people and gets along well with dogs. We don't have a cat so I cannot speak to her behavior around cats. What I know is that she learns quick as long as she knows there is no competition for her affection from you and there will be plenty of food for both pets in the house, I'm sure she will get along with a cat just fine. Bella, is fully house trained. we never have issues with surprises in the house. She has a litter box that she is trained to use.
