Annabelle is a very sweet 5year old girl who has been raised with a large family including children of all ages in a homestead with chickens, cows, goats, and sheep. She is excellent with children and a great livestock guardian. She is affectionate and has learned some commands. Unfortunately her roaming behavior cannot be contained without a 6ft fence and we can't practically install one on our property. She has left multiple times and we want to make sure she is somewhere safe and not vulnerable to being hit by a car or lost.

Are you looking for a cuddle bug couch hippo to watch your favorite shows with? Hunter would love to be your guy! Hunter is a food aficionado and likes to supervise in the kitchen and offer a paw just in case he can convince you to share your snacks. He takes treats very gently and eagerly walks you to his crate when it’s chow time. Hunter walks well on leash after his initial excitement when he spots other dogs and may pull toward them, showing that classic “can I please go say hi?” energy. With continued positive training and guidance, he’ll learn to channel that enthusiasm beautifully. He has gotten along well with the other dog in his foster home and might enjoy a chill doggy playmate in his forever home. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed).
