Story
Penny in her rainbow harness, too cute! She is estimated to be about 9 months old and weighs 31 pounds right now. Penny is a fun-spirited, outgoing and playful baby girl who is full of curiosity. As you can see from some of her pictures, she is doing wonderfully with her harness and loves going on adventures. She has loved playing in the small pool we have, especially on some of these really warm days. Penny is very attentive, loves to lean in to be close and so wants to please you. She also releases her toys and rawhides with a soft mouth, so nice. A fun, active home with room to run would be her dream and any children need to be at least 8 years old. Penny is a very sweet girl who is just waiting to find her forever home. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Penny would love to meet them. We think she would make a great second dog. She has an “all in” excited approach with other dogs with lots of cute playbows and has nice balanced play. If you are interested in Penny and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Meet Tyson, an amazing boy with a big heart and lots of love to give! He is estimated to be about 6 years old and weighs 66 pounds. Tyson is such a friendly and playful pup with the most squishable big head and an adorable, attentive personality. He's people-oriented and intelligent, greeting you with his cute little waggy nubbin tail, there is nothing that will make you smile more! Tyson is great at picking up new commands too and already knows the basics like "sit", "wait", and "shake". He loves nothing more than a good cuddle and always wants to be by your side. Tyson is also very in tune with his handler and looking for leadership. An experienced adopter who knows how to instill leadership is just what he needs and a home where any children are at least 8 years old. Although he may be on the bigger side, this sweetie is a gentle giant who just wants to have a family of his own to love and to love him back. One of our wonderful volunteers took Tyson home to foster him over the weekend, she found out so much about him: People friendly and very polite Dog friendly Did so well for potty, no accidents in the house Not crate trained (busts out of crate) Not destructive if left out unattended Loves the sprinkler Loves to sleep near you(or with you) Is part human and lays head on pillow Seems to understand English well Know sit, paw ,wait, where’s your bone?, outside? Loves car rides Loves treats. Seems to know his name Loves toys: bones, balls, stuffies and squeakers Greets guests nicely Pulls a bit on the leash but not too bad If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Tyson would love to meet them. He has an intense but friendly approach with other dogs and seems to have solid dog to dog skills. He may be a rough player but likes to check in with you. If you are interested in Tyson and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
