Story
Meet Katya!    She recently gave birth to eight puppies. At just 18 months old and about 50 pounds, Katya is still very much a puppy herself. After doing an amazing job raising her babies, she’s ready to enjoy life, have fun, and be spoiled in a loving forever home.   Katya loves to play! She happily chases balls, grabs toys and zooms around the yard, and spends hours playing with her terrier foster sister. She also enjoys exploring and investigating everything around her. Like many young dogs, she may occasionally stroll by with a slipper in her mouth, just to remind you she’s still a puppy at heart. She is also incredibly affectionate. Katya loves curling up next to her people on the couch for pets and snuggles, or simply lying nearby wherever her family is gathered. She wants to be part of the action and close to the people she loves. She isn’t a big barker. If someone approaches the house, she’ll let you know, but otherwise she’s generally quiet and easygoing. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her crate and goes in willingly without fuss. She has learned to use the doggie door at her foster home and has been accident-free since figuring out the routine.Katya gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing with her foster sister. She has also spent time around young children and genuinely enjoys being around people. Because of some possible hardships earlier in life, she may take a little extra time to warm up to men. However, once trust is established, she is affectionate and loving. She now happily seeks out her foster dad for scratches and pets. One of her sweetest qualities is how attentively she listens when you talk to her. She gazes into your eyes as if she understands every word. And she definitely knows how cute she is when she gently places a paw on your arm or in your lap—something she does often and always melts hearts.Katya is a gentle, loving, joyful girl who deserves a happy ending after spending so much of her young life caring for others. Now it’s her turn to be cared for, loved, and cherished. If you would like to give Katya the Cinderella story she deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 21, 2026, 5:22 pm

Story
This sweet little guy is Buddy and he is a happy go lucky 7-year,14-pound Chihuahua mix who has been with my a senior couple since he was a puppy. Due to his elderly mother's move to assisted living, this boy needs to be moved to a loving foster or forever home ASAP.   The family children have heavy personal responsibilities and illness they are dealing with and Buddy cannot join either of the homes of the daughters.  They feel backed in a corner to find him a place very soon and Critter Cavalry Rescue is dedicated to helping this innocent little happy guy find a place to share his joyful personality.     Buddy is incredibly loyal and loves being with his people. He has plenty of energy for playtime and would love a fenced yard where he can run and explore, but if you don't have a fenced yard, he also does well going for walks on a leash. He's also perfectly happy curling up beside you for a nap. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is happiest when he's spending time with the people he loves.   Buddy could fit into many different types of homes. He may especially enjoy a quieter home with an older person or couple, but more than anything, he just wants a family who will love him, include him, and make him part of their lives.   This is a heartbreaking decision for his mom, and the only goal is to find Buddy the safe, loving home he deserves. Buddy would do best in a home without cats as he thinks of them as a good game of chase.  While he can get along with other dogs, he tends to do best with a sweet, confident dog who won't be intimidated by his strong personality, as he can sometimes be a bit bossy with other dogs. We know there is a special person or family out there who will give him the love, companionship, and happy home he deserves.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in making this darling little guy your amazing sidekick for life.

Story
When you picture puppies, you imagine round bellies, wagging tails, and carefree playtime. That’s exactly who our 11 beautiful Hound/Lab mix puppies are — happy, sweet, and full of life.   The litter is ready for moments of family bonding and snuggles and here is our boy Big Bear, a chocolate delight of lazy love and zoomie moments of fun. Born on May 22nd to a Redbone Coonhound momma dog, these puppies were given all the food and attention they needed from their dog mom and their human mom.  Now we have broken up the litter in to pairs and threesomes and we are focusing on personally forming their habits, manners and socializing them with more one on one attention and love.  We anticipate Big Bear to be a 50 pound boy who will favor the Lab influence we think is in his background DNA.   Big Bear is the only chocolate in the bunch but all are beautiful. Some blacks, goldens, reds and some with black faces and solid gold bodies.  They are all true stands out in their nature and their intelligence.  Their mama is a typical Redbone Hound of reddish color and they think dad was a neighbor's no one knows who the dad is. His ears are soft ou have to touch them and feel how silky they are.  His face is gentle and softened by his eyes that speak to you and just draw you in when he looks up at you for attention, love and a soft lap for him to sit upon.  He craves attention and one on one time with a person after being just part of a large litter that worn down the foster family who works. These puppies are growing fast and will likely mature to 50 pounds. He is on a good feeding schedule to eat all the puppy chow his little body needs and craves 4 meals a day.. Big Bear is a treasure in a sweet chocolate puppy body.  He can be  your new forever companion in life if you email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   He is currently in Nashville, TN in a foster home     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 21, 2026, 5:22 pm

Story
Nyla is almost 7 years old (birthday in November). Doesn’t bark outside of someone knocking/ringing door bell. She doesn’t do well with homes with babies which is my reason for needing to rehome her. She gets chronic UTIs and has been taken to multiple vets for different antibiotics, but they tend to come back. Loves playing soccer and fetch and will bring it back. Walks without a leash five and knows basic commands (sit, stay, stop, come here, up, down). Looking for a loving home where she can get the undivided attention she deserves. She’ll come with food, treats, bowls, bed, jackets, and toys.

Story
Life has thrown Tucker a few unexpected twists lately, and this adorable 3-year-old Coton de Tulear/Lhasa Apso mix is still figuring out what comes next. With his white-and-tan coat and delightfully wild hairstyle, Tucker looks like he just stepped out of a wind tunnel, but somehow, it only adds to his charm.Finding himself in a shelter has turned his world a little upside down, so he’s taking things slowly and cautiously as he adjusts to all the new sights, sounds, and faces. Beneath that understandably careful exterior is a friendly little guy who truly enjoys the companionship of people. Give him a little patience, a gentle approach, and the chance to feel safe, and you’ll see his sweet personality begin to shine.Tucker isn’t looking for perfection, just someone willing to let him settle in at his own pace and show him that home is a place where he can finally relax. If you believe the best relationships are built on trust, kindness, and a little patience, Tucker may be the perfect companion you’ve been waiting for.If you are interested in meeting Tucker, please complete an Interest Form. Story
Meet Niecy: Zoomies and Zen.If personality could be bottled, Niecy would have enough to fill an entire kennel. This happy-go-lucky Pit Bull Terrier is an absolute ham who knows exactly how to make people smile. And honestly? Good luck saying no. She's a world-class snuggler who believes affection is a team sport.Niecy has wonderful manners and strikes that perfect balance between playful adventurer and affectionate couch companion. She's energetic enough to keep you laughing, calm enough to settle in afterward, and charismatic enough to win over just about everyone she meets. If you're looking for a dog who can make you laugh with her goofy antics, keep you entertained with her playful spirit, and then melt into your side for a well-deserved cuddle, Niecy is ready to be your new best friend. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org.
