Story
Meet Asil. He is a purebred Turkish Akbash livestock guardian dog. His name means "noble" in Turkish. He is an exceptional LGD and is gentle with everything right down to the smallest chick. He guards his flock and herd without any direction. He is an excellent guard dog as well and will only bark and alert you if something is concerning. We are looking for a home for him because we want him to have his best life. He is only 2.5 years old. We purchased him from a farm in VA where he was born and raised. He has always been free on the pasture to guard his flock. Unfortunatley, because of this, he has not had much experience with humans and avoids almost everyone. He is amazing with our farm and all of our animals but appears to have a particularly significant fear of my husband. Because of this, we want to find him a new home where he can feel comfortable. A farm that needs a lgd would be perfect. Let him free to work and worry about nothing else.

Story
Mojo does well around kids. My niece even had him doing his commands. His only issue is not sharing food or toys with other dogs and he likes to chase cats. So he needs to be the only dog. Other than that this dog is damn near perfect. He's 89 lbs of love and will snuggle on the couch and the bed. His favorite thing is squeaky balls and his hot dog toy to play tug with. I taught him how to play hide and go seek with his treats. He hates bathtubs but does okay at the groomer. He's 6 years old. He's on 2 preventive meds and he's fixed. This dog loves car rides, long walks and my brother says he stayed by him on a run the other day. He's very chill and hardly ever barks. He knows the basic commands and to ring a bell when he has to potty.

Story
Meet Cane!  This gentle giant spent the last few years living on a horse farm. It was tough work; laying in the sun getting pet by the workers, watching the chickens bobbing and flapping, supervising the horses while they trot through the fields. Now Cane is ready to retire. Do you have room on your couch?  Cane is dog, kid and cat friendly. He is house trained, ok to be in a crate but doesn’t need to be, and is non destructive. Cane, like most bulldogs, just wants to be a loyal companion and be by your side. He doesn’t need to run or take long walks to get rid of his energy - he is perfectly content cuddling up on the couch watching Law and Order reruns or chilling at the brewery watching you and your friends sip some IPAs. He loves meeting people and is a true gentleman (minus the slobber, he really can’t help the way God made him). Cane is an epicure, a bon vivant, a connoisseur of good taste. He loves to eat and takes treats as gently as the structure of his lower jaw allows. That being said, he will require a companion willing to assist with oral hygiene. Cane is neutered and UTD on his vaccines. He is ready to retire and live his golden years to the fullest. Could that be with you?  ##2814062##

Story
Dolly is a beautiful one year-old thought to be a Boston Terrier mix. She came from a home with two other dogs that were also surrendered. She likes a good car ride and loves to take a walk to visit her friends. She enjoys everyone she meets, and when she sees children, she especially enjoys them. She wants everybody to like her, although she can be a little shy and skittish at times, once she realizes the human or the animal likes her, she relaxes and does zoomies. After that, her 25lb frame folds into your lap and stares into your eyes. She has a sweet puppy personality that just makes you melt. As a one year-old, she loves her crate and likes to take all the toys in the house and hide them there. She’s housebroken and is no longer in the "I want to chew everything" puppy stage. She loves children, and she will survive on snuggles and kisses. Although she’s never met a cat, we imagine she would do well since she is respectful of other animals space when meeting them. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting 8/16/26. Apply directly at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##2814144##

Story
Ella is a year old chihuahua mix. She is a small petite girl. Ella is crate trained,  pee pad trained and also goes outside to potty.  Ella is a good girl. She will be shy and scared at first and will retreat to her crate but once she trusts and opens up she is so lovable and wants to be held and loved on. Ella will do best in a home with someone who is older or knows the chihuahua breed. Ella is your typical loud and vocal chihuahua.  Once she feels safe she will be your best friend. Ella enjoys being dressed up and just being able to run in a fenced in yard. Ella will be spayed prior to adoption pending availability at the vets office.  She will also be current on vaccines.  Ella is looking dor her person. She is good with other dogs as long as they aren't in her face constantly.  She is OK with cats. She will chase them if they run but has not tried to hurt them. Ella is looking for a foster or adopter.  If you are interested in Ella please send us a message.  ##2792062##
