Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say Hello to Spike!  Spike is a 20 year old chihuahua who was brought to the rescue after his owner of 20 years could no longer take care of him due to his own health issues.  Spike is a typical chihuhahua.  He loves his person and does protect her. He is tolerant of other dogs who respect his space.  He does have a bad knee but can walk on a leash slowly.  He isn't a morning person and likes to take things easy.  If you're looking for a grumpy potato of an old man to who will make your home complete for how ever long he has left, place an application for Spike!  He'll love you for it!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 7, 2024, 8:14 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Bugle is so handsome that he looks like he could be a Best in Show winner at any dog show. But he is really best at showing his love for people. This Blue Tick Hound is young at heart and also in years (only 2-years-old). He is playful and joyful, with a laid-back attitude, and only barks if there is a meaningful reason. If you give him a stuffed bone or Kong, you will put him in doggie happy-land. Bugle is well behaved in his room, walks well on a leash, and is not quarrelsome with other dogs. He is learning to sit and wait when asked.Bugle is active while outside during daytime. But when evening comes, he likes to relax in his room on his comfy bed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    July 7, 2024, 7:30 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Four-year-old Jaxson thought he was just being a freewheeling venturer before getting picked-up for being unlicensed. No one claimed him, so we gave him a place to wait until he finds a home. While he has been with us, he has been neat in his room, and wriggles with delight when anyone stops to give him some love. We've got a serious tail-wagger here. This compact (40 pound), muscular dog is all set to learn what is expected of him. He has already learning to sit when directed and also to wait before a door is opened. When asked, he behaves well while on leash walks. He seemed to want to play with dog-curious kitties, but he could be overwhelming for some kitties.. Jaxson is the clean-cut yellow of a Labrador. And by the look of his charcoal lips, he may have some Black-mouth Cur (Old Yeller type dog) in his bloodline. We don’t know his mix for sure, but we know for sure that he is smart and good-looking.*update: on a recent outing to a lake-- Jaxson was perfect in the car and didn't blink an eye at the noisy pond geese. But, he couldn't get enough of meeting new people. Loving people is his favorite pastime. Jaxson always seems to look on the bright side of things. Bring him into your life to see the world from his optimistic viewpoint.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    July 7, 2024, 7:30 am
