Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: VIVIAN Altered Heartworm Negative Name: Karen Breed: Terrier Mix Sex: Female Age: 1-2 years Weight: 31 currently (35-40 ideal) Hi, I’m VIVIAN. I know I’m not the easiest to notice, but if you give me a chance, I promise I’ll show you how much love I have to give. I spent most of my life in a tough situation, chained up with a heavy chain that was just as big as me. When I was rescued, I was really skinny, and my ribs were showing, but I’m getting stronger every day and filling out nicely. I’m still learning to trust people, but I’m gentle and calm. I really thrive when I’m around other dogs—they make me feel safe and happy. I’m submissive with other dogs and love being part of a pack. I also really like kids! Their gentle touch makes me feel warm and loved. I know I have so much potential, and with a little patience, I can be the best companion. I just need a family who understands that trust takes time and who will help me learn how to be the confident, loving dog I know I can be. Could you be that family? I’d love to meet you! ------------------------ She is currently in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and urgently needs our help! She needs an ADOPTER or a temporary FOSTER home so she can catch a ride with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 to Cedarburg, Wisconsin. If nobody steps up for her, she will be left behind in the shelter, and we don't want her to miss this important chance for a better life. Let's come together to give her the future he deserves! —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Check out our website for more information on FOSTERING, VOLUNTEERING, or DONATING! www.muttlife.org

Story
Meet Sweet Caroline, shes a country girl straight from Kentucky. She came to Wisconsin with her 4 siblings at only 3 weeks old. Caroline is in a foster home with her sister Billie Jean, 3 kids ages (7,8, and 13) and a dog. She loves to go outside and play in the fresh air, which mean potty training is going smoothly. She sleeps all night in a pen for 7-8 hours quietly. Meal time is her favortie thing in life currently and she is highly food motivated which will make training easy. She has the cutest white markings on her face and feet.  Get your application in ASAP, she wont last long.  Animal is Fostered in: Racine  For more information, or to apply for adoption, visit our website at: www.RescueOutreach.com Please note the following will be performed on all animals prior to adoption: Microchip Spay/Neuter (unless medically unable at time of adoption, in which case this will be discussed) Heartworm Testing (dogs);    FELV/FIV Testing (cats) Age appropriate CORE vaccines.  Dhpp, Rabies (if old enough)-dog;  CVR, Rabies (if old enough) - cat  - WE DO NOT ADMINISTER BORDETELLA unless indicated.   PLEASE NOTE- puppies and kittens may need to complete vaccination schedule depending on age at time of adoption.   Dewormed All breeds are best guess from veterinarian based on physical exam.  All animals come from high kill shelters with poor access to resources.  Once they arrive to our rescue they are quarantined for health purposes and spoiled in loving foster homes until their forever home is found!  Our organization is operated 100% by volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts.   ##2237808##

Good with dogs,
Story
We have another Poppy—and we hope she is just as popular as the Poppy we posted earlier this week. This Poppy is about one year old and is a 50 lbs pittie mix.   She is an active playful girl who would do best in a  home with a fenced yard  or a very active family who will take her running or hiking regularly.    She could also do well on a farm where she has a job and something to keep her busy.   She loves to explore! Poppy is completely housebroke and goes right in her kennel when given the command.   She loves to chew on bones!  She does well with other dogs. She loves to go on walks, but can still pull a bit on leash. Poppy needs a family who is experienced with dogs and will commit to socializing her safely.   She can bark and lunge when meeting new people on leash.   In the home, she also barks and is not a fan of guests, but if given time and space warms up.   The key is just having the guest ignore her and let Poppy decide  who and when (or if) she wants to interact.  Treats help a lot. She will often come up and sniff the new person She is working on muzzle training, which will help her family to have more socialization for her in a healthy and positive way.   She does seem to prefer women over men.  She has not been around kids or cats. If you are an experienced dog owner/handler and have the time to help Poppy overcome some of her fear of strangers, we would love to talk to you.   She is a great dog with so much love to give.If you’re interested in adoption, please private message us or APPLY HERE if you haven’t yet: https://newleashdogrescue.com ##2050554##

Story
Bitsie is a Toy Shih Tzu mix who is 8lbs of sweetness. Found as a stay in Milwaukee, Bitsie is estimated at 12 yrs with some missing teeth but that doesn’t stop her from eating hard food.  Bitsie is so very sweet and sometimes you forget she is around since she is very content to sleep basically anywhere but her favorite place to be is cuddled up on your lap or next to you. Bitsie has been doing well at putting herself to bed in her kennel and keeping it clean all night. She has also been doing very well at pottying outside - she does her business and comes right back in.  She doesn’t bark at other animals or people but does make it known she wants to be near her people. She minds her own business and just wants to lay comfortably on a warm lap or blanket. If you’re interested in adopting Bitsie and are Pre-approved please private message us, or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!) **Bitsie’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines to date, heartworm test, current vet check, and microchip. ##2261263##
