Dusse was heartbroken the day we met her. And we get it. This place is big and loud, and she went from having a home to suddenly not. But this sweet girl is coming around, and we couldn’t be happier to see her shine. She’s incredibly loving, and we’ve even spotted a few zoomies lately—a sure sign that she’s starting to feel like herself again. That’s all we ever hope for. That these dogs can adjust, find comfort, and feel love again. Dusse is quickly becoming a crowd favorite. She just loves being close to us and we’re just as happy to be close to her. Arrived at the shelter 1/31/25 For questions, please email caccadoptables@gmail.com *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

Prim (Born 4/15/2024) is just a darling little lady. She is searching for a home of her own. This curious pup is child, cat, and dog friendly. She loves treats, belly rubs, games of chase, and a good old snuggle. She has the absolute sweetest personality and will love to have a human that she can follow around and shower with love! Prim gets a long so well with her pals at the rescue. She looks so sad every time her buddies get adopted and she continues to be passed over. This gorgeous girlie is Penelope (Born 4/14/2024)!! Check out her video! (Pictures can’t do this cutie justice) Penelope scored herself a foster home in Illinois! This darling girl is adjusting to life in a home and is so excited to be one step closer to meeting her forever family! She is now fully potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and kid friendly! We can’t get enough of her adorable freckles. Penelope is a sweet gentle pup who is searching for her forever family! Penelope can’t wait to spend the holidays with her forever family! She is absolutely up for a walk in freshly fallen snow (as long as it’s quickly followed up with some snuggles with her humans)! Penelope wants to be your girl! His foster can no longer foster him and we understand. However this means his futures is uncertain very soon. This is a fate too many dogs and puppies here in the south face daily.
